IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: BEFORE USING KODAK SMART AIR PURIFIER, PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS AND CAU- TIONARY MARKINGS IN THE MANUAL AND ON THE AIR PURIFIER. PLEASE KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFER- ENCE. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concern- ing use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by chil- dren without supervision. Danger • Do not let water or any other liquid or flammable de- tergent enter the air purifier to avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard. • Do not clean the WHOLE air purifier with water, any other liquid, or a (flammable) detergent to avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard. • Do not spray any flammable materials such as insec- ticides or fragrance around the air purifier. Warning • Check if the voltage indicated on the air purifier corre- sponds to the local power voltage before you connect the appliance. • Do not use the air purifier if the plug, the power cord, or the appliance itself is damaged. • Do not block the air inlet and outlet, e.g. by placing items on the air outlet or in front of the air inlet. • Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the air purifier through the air outlet. P. 6P.7 • This air purifier is not a substitute for proper ventila- tion, regular vacuum cleaning, or use of an extractor hood or fan while cooking. • If the power socket used to power the air purifier has poor connections, the plug of the air purifier becomes hot. Make sure that you plug the air purifier into a properly connected power socket. • Always place and use the air purifier on a dry, stable, level, and horizontal surface. • Leave at least 30 cm free space behind and on both sides of the air purifier and leave at least 40 cm free space above the air purifier. • Do not place anything on top of the air purifier. • Do not sit or stand on the air purifier. Sitting or stand- ing on the appliance may lead to potential injury. • Make sure the reusable filter, front cover and back cov- er are properly installed before you switch on the air purifier. • Only use the original reusable filter specially intended for this KODAK Smart Air Purifier. Do not use any other filters or add any extra filters in the machine. • Avoid knocking against the air purifier (the air inlet and outlet in particular) with hard objects. • Always lift or move the air purifier by the handle on top of the machine. • Do not insert your fingers or objects into the air outlet or the air inlet to prevent physical injury or malfunc- tioning of the air purifier. • Do not use this air purifier when you have used indoor smoke-type insect repellents or in places with oily resi- dues, burning incense, or chemical fumes. • Do not use the air purifier near gas appliances, heating devices or fireplaces. • Always unplug the air purifier after use and before cleaning or carrying out other maintenance. • Do not use the air purifier in a room with major tem- perature changes, as this may cause condensation inside the air purifier. • To prevent interference, place the air purifier at least 2 meters away from other electrical appliances that use airborne radio waves such as TVs, radios, and ra- dio-controlled clocks. Caution P. 8P. 9 • The air purifier is only intended for household use un- der normal operating conditions. • If you need to move the air purifier, disconnect it from the power supply first. • When moving the air purifier, do it slowly and do not push it rapidly. • Do not move the air purifier by pulling its power cord. • This KODAK Smart Air Purifier is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physi- cal, sensory or reasoning capabilities, or lack of expe- rience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the ma- chine by a person responsible for their safety. • Ensure the machine is fully assembled in line with the instructions before use. • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine. • Use only as described in this KODAK Smart Air Purifier User Manual. Do not carry out any maintenance other than that shown in this manual, or advised by the Cus- tomer Service of this air purifier. • Suitable for dry location ONLY. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces and do not expose to water or rain. • Do not handle any part of the plug or machine with wet hands. • Do not operate any machine with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the machine or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by official channel, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. • If the machine is not working as it should, has received a sharp blow, has been dropped, damaged, left out- doors, or dropped into water, do not use and contact the Customer Service. • Do not stretch the cord or place the cord under strain. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or any appliances.…
