The advantage of this OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics version 2) scanner is its comprehensive functions and its ability to quickly provide the user with more accurate diagnostic information. Follow these steps: 1. Power on the tablet. 2. Connect the main cable’s female adapter to the tablet first and tighten the captive screws. 3. Plug the 16-pin male connector of main cable into the vehicle’s DLC port. Turn on the vehicle's ignition and open the Diagnostic Application, on the tablet, to begin the diagnostic process. The connection method is shown in the figure below: Precautions for Diagnosis 1. The voltage range on the car: +9~+36V DC; 2. When testing some special functions, the operator must operate according to the prompts and meet the test conditions. For some models [special functions], the conditions that need to be met are: engine water temperature 80 °C~105 °C, turn off headlights and air conditioners, keep the accelerator pedal in the released position, etc.; 3. The electronic control systems of different models are very complicated. Connect EUT RF output port to the Spectrum Analyzer through an RF attenuator 2. Set the Span = wide enough to capture the peak level of the in-band emission and all spurious emissions from the lowest frequency generated in the EUT up through the 10th harmonic. 3. RBW = 1MHz; VBW= 3MHz; Sweep = auto; Detector function = Peak. (Test frequency below 1GHz) 4. RBW = 1 MHz; VBW= 3 MHz; Sweep = auto; Detector function = Peak. (Test frequency Above 1GHz) 5. Set SPA Trace 1 Max hold, then View. 6. Antenna gain and path loss have been compensated to the Correction factor. 7. Mark the maximum useless stray point and compare it with the limit value to record the result.
