FCC ID: 2AY2BGPT1 2 PowerTag Operation Manual Theory of Operation4 Attachment5 Contacting Us6 Notes7 3 Theory of Operation Your PowerTag is a digital radio transmitter thatfeatures a unique identifier. No two tags will ever have thesame identifier, allowing multiple projects and speciesto be tracked simultaneously, worldwide, without overlap in transmitter codes. Your PowerTag can also be received by a growing distributed network of autonomous sensors collecting data fromall wildlife transmitters, around the world! Your PowerTagis designed to be received by a variety of methods: CTT Internet of Wildlife devices: â—ŹCTT SensorStationbase station products â—ŹCTT Locatorportable receiver products â—ŹThe forthcoming (Q4 2021)Terra,a direct-to-consumer citizen science product. And a global collaborative scientific platform: â—ŹTheMotus Wildlife Tracking System(hereafter Motus Network), operated byBirds Canada â—ŹAny other CTT SensorStation in operation When your PowerTag signal is received on a CTT Internetof Wildlife™ device, or via the Motus Network, the exactdate, time, unique identifier, and signal strength willbe recorded. To learn more about our products, and future products, visit: www.CellTrackTech.com. 4 Attachment Because the attachment process is unique dependingon animal species, it is advised to contact one of ourWildlife Application Specialists at Cellular Tracking Technologiesat [email protected]. While attachment may vary, here are some key pointsto remember: 1.Never trim the antenna, as its length is both dependent on top performance as well as FCC certification of the device. 2.When possible, keep the body of the animal away from the antenna, as this will affect the range and efficiency of the antenna. 3.Range will vary depending on the height of the animal. For example, a bird in flight will have much further line-of-sight than an animal crawling on the ground. 4.Water dwelling animals will need to have the antenna above the surface of the water in order to operate most effectively. 5 Contacting Us If you have any questions, you can contact us in the following ways:  [email protected]  +1 609 889 0305  Cellular Tracking Technologies 1293 Hornet Road Suite #1 Rio Grande, NJ 08242 6 Notes My Tag IDs ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ 7 8
