1(1) www.701x.com 700 Main Ave Fargo, ND 58103 October 24th, 2022 Attention: Application Examiner RE: Request for Confidentiality Applicant: 701x, Inc FCC ID: 2AZT3-701CT1 To Whom It May Concern: Request is hereby submitted by 701x, Inc to withhold permanently from public review certain portions of the application for equipment certification for the referenced FCC identifiers. This request for confidentiality is made pursuant to 47 CFR 0.457(d) and 0.459 of the FCC Rules. In particular, the following sections of the application are to be kept permanently confidential: • Schematics • Detailed Block Diagrams • Detailed Operational/Functional Description • Internal Photos These items contain detailed system and equipment description and related information about the product which 701x considers to be proprietary, confidential and a custom design which otherwise would not be released to the general public. Since this design is a basis from which future technological products will evolve, 701x also feels that this information would be of benefit to its competitors, and that the disclosure of the information in these exhibits would give our competitors an unfair advantage in the market. 701x requests permanent confidentiality for internal photographs, as the inside of the device will not be easily accessible to view the printed circuit board. The interior enclosure is permanently sealed by a plastic welding process and would require destruction of the device to attempt to gain access to interior components. Sincerely, Braydon Love Certification Engineer 701x
1(1) www.701x.com 700 Main Ave Fargo, ND 58103 December 8th, 2022 Attention: Application Examiner RE: cTag Transmission Duty Cycle Applicant: 701x, Inc FCC ID: 2AZT3-701CT1 To Whom It May Concern: The cTag product uses the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol for wireless communication. Thus, the device firmware limits the transmission time of the BLE transmitter to align with the BLE standard. In addition, the device application FW further limits the transmission duty cycle to be much lower than what the BLE standard allows. The cTag is considered a low power device and as such, the device application firmware limits transmissions to conserve battery, thus no large bursts of data or files are ever sent. Neither the user nor the paired device can control the transmission time of the cTag. For duty cycle measurements, all operations modes of operation were considered, and the worst-case scenario was used for measurement. In this mode, the user device is holding a BLE connection to the cTag. Sincerely, Braydon Love Certification Engineer 701x
