POC-AT1 PoC Radio User Manual Please read this manual carefully before using the product and retain it for future reference |Product Overview Note: Illustrations of products, accessories, user interfaces, etc., in this manual are for reference only. If any item is missing or damaged, contact your dealer. Item Quantity (PCS) Radio 1 Battery 1 Charge Cable 1 Belt Clip 1 User Manual 1 Note: Figures in this manual are for reference only. |Before Use 1. Installing the Nano SIM Card a. Remove the battery cover. b. Open the SIM card slot cover. c. Install the SIM card. d. Put the card slot cover back in place. 2. Attaching the Battery a. Use the approved battery to avoid the risk of explosion. b. Dispose of the used battery according to "Precautions for Disposal" in the Safety Information Booklet. 3. Attaching the Belt Clip Align the belt clip bracket with the clip slot on the back of the PoC radio. Slide it downward until the clip locks into place. To remove, press the locking pivot on the clip to disengage it, then slide the clip upward until it separates from the Poc radio. 4. Attaching the Audio Accessory Open the audio jack cover, and then insert the audio accessory into the jack. 5. Charging the Battery Use the approved charger to charge the battery. NOTE: The remaining lithium-ion battery power is limited to 30% pursuant to the new lithium battery shipment regulation approved by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Before initial use, charge the battery. Use the USB Type-C charge cable to connect the radio with battery attached to the power adapter, power bank, or PC. When powered off, the indicator light glows red during charging and turns green when fully charged. When powered on, the top notification bar’s battery icon displays green during charging, the top indicator glows red, and it switches to green once fully charged. |Basic Operations 1. Turning On or Off the Radio To turn on the radio, long press for two seconds. An audible alert will sound, and the green light will flash slowly. To turn off the radio, long press for two seconds, Additionally, the LCD screen will display “Power Off...”. 2. Adjusting the Volume Press the key to increase the volume, or key to decrease the volume. 3. Lock/Unlock Keyboard To lock the keyboard, press and hold the key for 2 seconds. The LOCK icon will appear on the screen. Only the PTT button will remain functional. To unlock the keyboard, press and hold the key for 2 seconds. All function keys will become operational. 4. PoC Service The Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service provides one-to-one and one-to-many voice communications over the wider-coverage public network. 3.1 Making a Group Call a. Rotate the ‘Group’ knob to select a group from the group list. b. Press and hold the PTT key to making a call to that group (red light illuminates), thereby performing a group call. c. Release the PTT key. You can receive a call without any operation. 3.2 Making a Private Call a. Press the ‘SOS/Member’ key briefly to enter the ‘Member’ list. press the / key to select a member from the list. b. Press and hold the PTT key, and then speak (red light illuminates), enabling private call. c. In private call mode, press the key briefly to exit private call mode. Note: If no operation is performed on the radio for 30 seconds, it will automatically exit the individual call state. Alternatively, either party pressing the return key will exit the individual call, restoring the original group state. 3.3 Temporary Session Press the ‘SOS/Member’ key briefly to enter the ‘Member’ list. Online members appear highlighted, while offline members appear grayed out (grayed-out members indicate offline status). a. Press the / key to select an online member, then press ‘’ key to choose the member. b. Press the / key repeatedly to select multiple online members, then press ‘Select’ to choose them. 3) Press and hold the PTT button to initiate a temporary session with these members. |Menu Functions Press and hold the key to lock the keypad. Press and hold the key again to unlock the keypad. Note: When the keypad is locked, only the PTT key and key remain functional. Press and hold the key to unlock the keypad. 1. Group Selection Enter the menu, press the / key to navigate to the Group interface, press ‘’ key,then press the / key to select a group. 2. Member Selection Enter the menu, press the / key to navigate to the Member interface, press ‘’ key, then press the / key to select a member. 3. Setup 1) Menu Exit T ime This menu option sets the time before the menu exits automatically. Options: Always On; 15–120 seconds, in 15-second increments. Note: When set to ‘Manual’, the menu can only be exited manually. 2) Auto-lock Time This menu option sets the “Auto Keypad Lock Delay Time”. After this period of inactivity, the keypad automatically locks. Options: Always On; 15–120 seconds, in 15-second increments. Default: 60 seconds. 3) Backlight T ime This menu option sets the duration the backlight remains illuminated after activation. If no key presses occur within this time frame, the backlight will automatically turn off. Options: Always On; 15–120 seconds, in 15-second increments. Default: 60 seconds. 4) Session T ime This menu option specifies the maximum call duration when entering a one-to-one single call state, preventing prolonged transmission from one party. Options: 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 90 seconds, 120 seconds. 5) P…
