Quick Reference Guide TPC-B/TPC-R Wireless Temperature Clamp Thank you for purchasing the TPC-B/TPC-R Wireless Temperature Clamp. When used with Autel diagnostic tools (sold separately), the clamp measures the temperature of the automotive air conditioning piping and transmits data via Bluetooth, providing parameter-based evidence for air conditioning systems diagnostics. Our products are manufactured to a high standard and — when used according to these instructions and properly maintained — will provide years of trouble-free performance. Product Description Front View Right View 1. Battery Compartment — holds 2 x AAA batteries. Slide the latch switch to the Unlock position to open the cover. Slide the latch switch to the Lock position to secure the cover. 2. Power Button/Status LED — long press to power on/off the device. Refer to Table 1- 1 Status LED Description for details on status LED. Table 1-1 Status LED Description LED Color Description Status Yellow Flashes yellow when the clamp is upgrading its software or flashes yellow three times quickly before shutting down. Lights solid yellow when the clamp is performing a self- test or when a Bluetooth error occurs during self-test. Green Lights solid green when the clamp battery level is normal. Blue Lights solid blue when the clamp is connected via Bluetooth, but there is no data being transmitted. Flashes blue when transmitting Bluetooth data. Red Lights solid red when the clamp battery level is low. Flashes red when the clamp is open or incorrectly clamped. Long press the Power button to power on the clamp. 3. After powering on the MaxiHVAC tablet, c onnect the clamp to the MaxiHVAC tablet via Bluetooth. (The Bluetooth ID will match the product serial number which can be found on the product label.) 4. Tap HVAC on the MaxiHVAC Job Menu. 5. Follow the dynamic graphic instructions on the screen to use the clamp. Maintenance Clean the exterior of the clamp with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents.
