Usage: TheRearViewCameraDVRSystemisdesignedtohelpthedriversafetydetectpeople and/orobjectshelpingtoavoiddamageorinjury.However,youthedriver,mustuseit properly.Useofthissystemisnotasubstituteforsafe,peopleorlegaldriving. Neverbackupwhilelookingatthemonitoralone.Youshouldalwayscheckbehind andaroundthevehiclewhenbackingup,inthesamewayasyouwouldifthevehicle didnothavetheRearViewCameraSystem.Ifyoubackupwhilelookingonlyatthe monitor,youmaycausedamageorinjury.Alwaysbackupslowly. TheRearViewCameraSystemisnotintendedforuseduringextensiveback-up maneuversorbackingintocrosstrafficorpedestrianwalkways. Please,alwaysremember,theareadisplayedbytheRearViewCameraSystemis limited.Itdoesnotdisplaytheentirepanoramathatisbehindyou. -5- INSTALLATION Electricshockorproductmalfunctionmayoccurifthisproductisinstalledincorrectly. Usethisproductwithinthevoltagerangespecified.Failuretodosocancause electronicshockorproductmalfunction. Takespecialcarewhencleaningthemonitor. Makesuretofirmlyaffixtheproductbeforeuse. Ifsmokeorburningsmellisdetected,disconnectthesystemimmediately. Wherethepowercablemaytouchametalcase,coverthecablewithfrictiontape.A shortcircuitordisconnectedwiremaycauseafire. WhileinstallingtheRearViewSystembecarefulwiththewirepositioninginorderto avoidwiredamage. Donotwatchmoviesoroperatethemonitorwhiledriving;asitmaycausean accident. Donotinstallthemonitorwhereitmayobstructdriversvieworobstructanairbag device. Droppingtheunitmaycausepossiblemechanicalfailure. Beforedrillingpleasecheckthatnocableorwiringisontheothersideofthewall.Please clampallwiressecurelytorecyclethepossibilityofthembeingdamagedwhilevehicleisinuse. Keepallcablesawayfromhot/movingpartsandelectricalnoisycomponents. Werecommenddoingabenchmarktestbeforeinstallationtoinsurethatallcomponentsare workingproperly. Step1:Choosethemonitorandcameralocations. Step2:Installallcablesinvehicle,whennecessarya0.8(20mm)holeshouldbedrilledfor passingcameracablethroughvehicleswalls.Installsplitgrommetswhereapplicable. Step3:Onceallcablesandwiringhavebeenproperlyrouted,performasystemfunctiontest bytemporarilyconnectingthesystem. OperatingPrecautions 1.Thedevicemaybepoweredbya12-36voltbatteryorthevehicle'selectricalsystem. 2.Makesureallcablesareconnectedproperly.Impropercableconnectionsmaydamagethe monitor.Removethepowercableconnectionswhennotusingthedevice. -6- Warning! 1.Thismonitorishighvoltage.Onlyprofessionalsshouldopenthemonitor'scase. 2.Donotwatchthevideowhiledrivingunlessyouaremonitoringtherearview cameradisplay.
