Those guidelines are consistent with the safety standards previously set by both U.S. and international standards bodies. The design of this phone complies with the FCC guidelines and these international standards. Use only the supplied antenna or one that is approved. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could impair call quality, damage the phone, or result in a violation of FCC regulations. Do not use the phone with a damaged antenna. If a damaged antenna comes into contact with the skin, a minor burn may result. Please contact your local dealer for a replacement antenna. Body-worn Operation This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the phone kept 1.5 cm. from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use only belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that maintain at least a 0.59 inch (1.5 cm.) separation distance, between the user's body and the back of the phone, including the antenna, whether extended or retracted. The use of belt-clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided. Vehicle Mounted External Antenna (optional, if available.) A minimum separation distance of 7.9 inches (20cm) must be maintained between a person and the vehicle mounted external antenna to satisfy FCC RF exposure requirements. For more information about RF exposure, please visit the FCC web site at www 45 Entering Text Changing the Text Input Mode ...................................................... 44 Using T9(English) Mode ................................................................ 45 Using Alphabet Mode .................................................................... 47 Using Symbol Mode ...................................................................... 49 Using Number Mode ..................................................................... 49 Using the Menus Accessing a Menu Function by Scrolling ......................................... 50 Using Shortcuts .............................................................................. 51 List of Menu Functions .................................................................. 52 Calls Outgoing(MENU 1-1) ............................................................. 55 Incoming (MENU 1-2) ............................................................. 56 Missed (MENU 1-3)................................................................... 57 Erase History (MENU 1-4)......................................................... 57 Air Time (MENU 1-5).........…

INTRODUCTION 2.1 General These measurement test were conducted at SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD(SUWON). The site address is 416Maetan-3Dong, Paldal-Gu Suwon City Gyungki-Do 441-742, KOREA The site has 1 Fully-anechoic chamber and measurement facility. Figure1. Map of the Suwon City area. Measurement Procedure The radiated and spurious measurements were made Fully-anechoic chamber at a 3-meter test range (see Figure2). The equipment under testing was placed on a wooden turntable. 3-meters from the receive antenna. The receive antenna height and turntable rotations was adjusted for the highest reading on the receive spectrum analyzer. The substitution antenna will replace the EUT antenna it the same position and in vertical polarization. The frequency of the signal generator shall be set to the frequencies that were measured on the EUT. The test antenna shall be raised and lowered, if necessary, to ensure that the maximum signal is still being received. The signal generator, output level, shall be adjusted until an equal or a known related level to what was measured from the EUT is obtained in the spectrum analyzer. This level was recorded. For readings above 1 GHz, the above procedure would be repeated using horn antennas and the difference between the gain of the horn and an isotropic antenna are taken into consideration. Figure2. Photograph of 3m Fully-Anechoic Chamber 3.MEASURING INSTRUMENT CALIBRATION The measuring equipment, which was utilized in performing the tests documented herein, has been calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations for utilizing calibration equipment, which is traceable to recognized national standards. . . 4.
