Failure to comply with these guidelines maybe dangerous. For more detailed safety information, see “Health and Safety Information” on page 118. Road safety comes first Do not use a hand-held phone while driving; park the vehicle first. Remember that in some countries, it is illegal to use a hand-held phone while driving. Switch off when refuelling Do not use the phone at a refuelling point (service station) or near fuels or chemicals. Switch off in aircraft Mobile phones can cause interference. Using them on aircraft is both illegal and dangerous. Respect special regulations Follow any special regulations in force in any area and always switch off your phone whenever it is forbidden to use it, or when it may cause interference or danger (in a hospital for example). Interference All mobile phones may be subject to radio interference, which may affect their performance. 6 Contents(continued) WWW Services . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 105 Launching the Browser . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 105 Exiting the Browser . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 105 Using Local Bookmarks . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .…

FCC ID A3LSGHR225 Statement Item# 3 The power indicated on page 3 (section 1.5) refers to the maximum power allowed for this services regarding the requirements of PTCRB and doesn’t refer to the FCC regulations will make a statement in future reports. Maximum peak EIRP is 0.588W (radiated). (0.610W is the conducted power output) Item# 4 The power measurements are done in conducted and radiated mode to eliminate the uncertainties coming from the difference of the declared gain vs. the real gain of the antenna. All radiated measurements are done using the substitution method.(see page 8 of the report) The radiated spurious emissions are defined in 24.238 as measurements relative to the max. power level. There is no specification and no need for the use of the substitution method, which will give the absolute power level. Item# 5 The frequency stability was measured up to –30º C Results: -20º C => -25 Hz = -0.0133 ppm -30º C => 23 Hz = 0.0122 ppm Item# 1 SAR The different results from the test report for the FCC testing and the report from the SAR testing is caused by the situation, that two different test systems and two different samples were used. The difference is within the measurement uncertainty and the tolerance of the production. The values for the SAR testing are only used to verify that the power before and after the measurement is the same; it doesn’t affect the SAR results. The conducted values were verified and are within the indicated measurement uncertainty. Lothar Schmidt Technical Manager EMC/Radio Original answers and declarations from the SAR lab Dear Ma'an: Question #1: Answer:The highest Antenna Conducted Output was measured before SAR tests is 30.2dBm. This measurement was made by using CMU 200 ( CETECOM unit ) and the output power was tuned by Samsung engineers during the tests. (remark Lothar Schmidt: to get the maximum output power allowed be PTCRB, which is 1W) Question #2:Answer: Attached please find Serial Number:1577 Probe Calibration report. 1800MHz Conversion Factor was used for this test. 1900MHz conversion was not provided by the Probe manufacturer. However, by looking at the calibration report, conversion factor between 1800 - 2000MHz should be the same. Question #3:Answer: This is the typo in the test report, liquid parameter was measured at 1900MHz. Revised SAR test report is attached. Question #4:Answer: SAR system verification data is included in the page 19 and 20 of test report. Question #5:Answer: Liquid Depth is 15.1cm. Revised SAR report is included this information. Question #6:Answer: In accordance with OET 65 Supplement C, page 40, " If the SAR measured at the middle channel for each test configuration ( left, right, cheek/touch, tile/Ear, extended and retracted) is at least 2.0dB lower than the SAR limit, testing at the high and low channels is optional for such test configuration(s)." The highest measured SAR values at Right Side of Head at Middle channel are :Cheek:0.562mW/g, Tiled:0.958mW/g. These two values are below the SAR limits ( 1.6mW/g) at least 2dB (1.01mW/g). Based upon the measurement results, the Right Head/Cheek @ low channel was not measured. Best Regards Mike Kuo / Compliance Certification Services Lothar Schmidt Technical Manager EMC/Radio

In all cases, the peak output power is within the required mask (this mask is specified in the JTC standards, TIA PN3389 Vol. 1 Chap 7, and is no FCC requirement). Method of Measurements: The EUT was set up for the max. output power with pseudo random data modulation. The power was measured with R&S Spectrum Analyzer FSEM 30 ( peak and average) This measurements were done at 3 frequencies, 1850.2 MHz, 1880.0 MHz and 1909.8 MHz (bottom, middle and top of operational frequency range) Limits: Power Step Nominal Peak Output Power (dBm) Tolerance (dB) 0 +30 ± 2 Power Measurements: Conducted: Frequency (MHz) Power Step Peak Output Power (dBm) Average Output Power (dBm) 1850.2 0 27.46 18.21 1880.0 0 27.61 18.36 1909.8 0 27.85 18.60 Measurement uncertainty ±0.5 dB ANALYZER SETTINGS: RBW = 3MHz VBW = 3MHz CETECOM Inc. Test report no.: 204FCC24/2001 Issue date: 2001.11.14 Page 8 (50) EIRP Measurements Description: This is the test for the maximum radiated power from the EUT. Rule Part 24.232(b) specifies that "Mobile/portable stations are limited to 2 watts e.i.r.p. peak power..." and 24.232(c) specifies that "Peak transmit power must be measured over any interval of continuous transmission using instrumentation calibrated in terms of an rms-equivalent voltage." Method of Measurement: 1. In an anechoic antenna test chamber, a half-wave dipole antenna for the frequency band of interest is placed at the reference center of the chamber. An RF Signal source for the frequency band of interest is connected to the dipole with a cable that has been constructed to not interfere with the radiation pattern of the antenna. A known (measured) power (Pin) is applied to the input of the dipole, and the power received (Pr) at the chamber's probe antenna is recorded. 2. A "reference path loss" is established as Pin + 2.1 - Pr. 3. The EUT is substituted for the dipole at the reference center of the chamber. The EUT is put into CW test mode and a scan is performed to obtain the radiation pattern. 4. From the radiation pattern, the co-ordinates where the maximum antenna gain occurs is identified. 5. The EUT is then put into pulse mode at its maximum power level (Power Step 0). 6. "Gated mode" power measurements are performed with the receiving antenna placed at the coordinates determined in Step 3 to determine the output power as defined in FCC Rule 24.232 (b) and (c). The "reference path loss" from Step 1 is added to this result. 7. This value is EIRP since the measurement is calibrated using a half-wave dipole antenna o…

FCC ID A3LSGHR225 The conducted out put power was re-measured using exact calibrated cables, attenuators and adapters. This measurement does not effect the results of the other parameters. The radiated power (EIRP) was measured using the substitution method and not calculated from the conducted power measurements. This table replaces the table in page 7 of the original report. Output is EIRP. SAR compliance for body-worn operating configurations is limited to the specific configuration tested for this filing. Body-worn operations are restricted to belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic component in the assembly and must provide at least 0.65 cm separation between the device, including its antenna whether extended or retracted, and the user's body. End-users must be informed of the body-worn operating requirements for satisfying RF exposure compliance. The highest reported SAR values are: Head: 0.982 W/kg; Body-worn: 1.11 W/kg.
