I INTRODUCTION Purpose This manual introduces Access Point(AP)/Repeater SMT-R2000, and describes how to assemble/disassemble SMT-R2000 and troubleshoot when any failue occurs. In addition, this document describes its hardware configuration and circuits and provides the parts list for SMT-2000. Document Content and Organization This manual consists of five Chapters and two Appendices. CHAPTER 1. introduction of SMT-R2000 Introduces SMT-R2000 and describes the configuration and specifications of SMT-R2000. CHAPTER 2. Assembly and Disassembly describes; How to assemble/disassemble SMT-R2000. CHAPTER 3. Troubleshooting describes; How to troubleshoot when any failure occurs while operating SMT-R2000. III FCC CONCERNS FCC Compliance Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. [James] Inserted into User manual. Question #2: The report indicates the radiated emission test was done with a [email protected]/4dBi@5G dipole antenna. Please provide antenna specification. [James] Samsung uses 2 antennas. Attached pls find two Antenna spec. Question #3: Please remove RF shielding to take more internal photos. Please indicate antenna location on the PCB board. Please also show the inter-constrctions of the AP, not just two PCB photos. [James] Revised and attached. Question #4: The user manual indicates the device uses Atheros' chipsets thus has 802.11g turbo and 802.11a turbo functions. But the test report does not show turbo mode has ever been investigated. Please provide additional test data with 802.11g turbo at 2437MHz, 802.11a turbo at 5760MHz and 5800MHz. [James] Samsung does not use Turbo mode. 1st User manual is incorrect one. Attached please find correct user manual. Question #5: The test report shows spurious emission test in 5.8GHz band was tested upto 26.5GHz. Based on 15.33(a)(1), it should be upto to 10th harmonic of the higheset fundamental frequency or to 40 GHz, whichever is lower. Please provide additional test data from 26.5GHz to 40GHz. [James] Re-tested and inserted test data to test report. Question #6: This is a typo: page 2 of the test report shows 15.237, you may want to update the test report. [James] Amended. Question #7: This is for your information: Block diagram and Theory of Operation are not included in the confidentiality letter, please confirm if it is OK to leave these two technical documents for public review.
