12 VOLT AUTOMOTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM Thank you for purchasing the 2KOOL automotive 12-volt control system. This is the most advanced program- mable control system available today. This system can control interior and exterior neon, strobe, and LED lights, EL Logos, and customized functions. With an optional relay even more demanding applications such as trunk lids, shaved door handles and linear actuators can be controlled. Consult with a professional installer when high current applications are planned. THE 2KOOL SYSTEM The 2KOOL System has two components a Keypad, used to send the activation command, and the Receiver which responds to the commands turning the application on and off. KEYPAD The Keypad has nine buttons, eight of which can be used to send the on/off commands, and one which sends an off command to all trained Receivers. RECEIVER The Receiver when trained is used to turn your applications on and off. After training, the receiver will only respond to the button press you select. Each receiver has a different code so you don’t have to worry about interfering with another 2KOOL control system. CAUTION Please follow manufacturer’s installation recommendations when adding accessory items, particularly auxiliary lighting. Lights installed with a 2Kool controller may be intended for off-road or show use only. Check with your light manufacturer and local authorities before street use. Remove the cover from the Receiver housing 2. Locate the small jumper block shown in the figure below. 3. Place the block over both pins on the Receiver circuit board. 4.Press the keypad button you wish to use several times. (You will see the light turn on and off) 5.Replace the jumper so that it only covers one pin. 6.Replace the cover on the Receiver. The Receiver will now respond to the key you pressed. Note: When the jumper covers both pins (training mode) the Receiver will respond to any key you press. The Receiver only remembers the last key you press as its assigned key. NOTE The range of the Keypad can be affected by where you put the receiver in the car. If you are having trouble activating the receiver with the Keypad move the receiver to another location. CONNECTION Select the physical location of your application such as neon lights. Install the lights in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations. Connect the wire from the lights to the Receiver wire, this is the wire on the right hand side. The wire with the white stripe is the ( + ) wire the other wire is the ground wire. For power connect the wire coming from the left hand side of the receiver to a 12 V source and ground. The wire with the white stripe is +12 Volts, the other wire is connected to ground.

Introduction On January 12 th through 21 st and March 5 th , 2004 a series of Radiated Emissions tests were performed on one sample of the Dukane Corporation “Turn On” Transmitter, Serial Number 04, here forth referred to as the “Equipment Under Test” or “EUT”. This product operates at a frequency of 433.92 MHz, by means of amplitude-shift-keying (ASK) of binary encoded data. These tests were performed using the test procedure outlined in ANSI C63.4, 2001 for intentional radiators, and in accordance with the limits set forth in FCC Part 15.231 for a periodic operation of a low power transmitter. 8. Purpose The tests were performed in order to determine the compliance of the EUT with limits contained in various provisions of Title 47CFR, FCC Part 15, including: 15.35, 15.205, 15.209 and 15.231(b). All Radiated Emission tests were performed to measure the emissions in the frequency bands described later in this report, and to determine whether said emissions are below the limits established by the aforementioned standards. These tests were performed in accordance with the procedures described in the American National Standard for methods of measurements of Radio-Noise Emissions from Low- Voltage Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the Range of 9 kHz to 40 GHz (ANSI C63.4, 2001). Also used as a reference for the EMI Receiver specification is the International Special Committee on Radio Interference – CISPR 16-1, 2002.
