Read and understand all instructions. 2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on this unit. 3. Unplug this unit from power outlets before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 4. Do not use this unit near water, for example near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, etc. 5. Place the unit securely on a stable surface. Serious damage and/or injury may result if the unit falls. 6. Do not cover slots and openings on the unit. They are provided for ventilation and protection against overheating. Never place the unit near radiators, or in a place where proper ventilation is not provided. 7. Use only the power source marked on the unit. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your home, consult your dealer or local power company. 8. Do not place objects on the power cord. Install the unit where no one can step or trip on the cord. 9. Do not overload power outlets and extension cords. This can result in the risk of fire or electric shock. 10. The transceiver portion of this product uses frequency hopping spread spectrum transmitter with FSK modulation with operation within 5725 ~ 5850 MHz. The base and handset have a maximum peak conducted RF output of 0.132 watts and 0.0646 watts. The base uses left and right permanently attached colliner antenna with nominal 3 dBi antenna gain and the handset uses permanently attached 5/8 λ pattern antenna with nominal 4 dBi antenna gain. The handset unit is classified as portable and SAR test reports was generated on representative handset model KX-TGA570. The SAR test report was generated with maximum transmit power (EIRP) at 0.110 watts with 20% duty cycle based on averaged and crest factor of 5. The worst-case handset SAR test results for head position was 0.327 W/Kg and body position was 0.420 W/Kg. The base unit is classified as mobile and the User Manual will contain the following type FCC RF Exposure Warning: “This product complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements the base unit must be installed and operated with its antenna located 20 cm or more between antenna and all person’s body (excluding extremities of hands, wrist and feet). The handset unit may be carried and operated with only the specific provided belt-clip. Other non-tested belt-clips or similar body-worn accessories may not comply and must be avoided. The base and handset units must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.” The telephone interface portion of this product’s base will be FCC Part 68 TCB certified by CCL under identification number US: ACJW401BKX-TG5771.
