This kind of equipment is below 60/frequency[GHz] mW(TCB Exclusion List)", which is not true. 108.64 mW is greater than 60/2.437 = 24.62mW. The real reason you use MPE calculation to demonstrate RF exposure compliance is that the device is in mobile configuration (20 cm separation distance can be maintained between antenna and human bodies). Please update the file. Answer #1: It is our intention to declare the base unit is mobile and the user manual provides the required minimum 20 cm spacing warning. The provided RF Exposure Statement for the base unit was amended to remove SAR Compliance Statement and replace it with MPE Compliance Statement. Refer to uploaded amended MPE Statement. Question #2: This device is an 802.11b/g device, but the user manual only mentions 802.11b. You may need to update the user manual. Answer #2: The user manual affected pages were amended to reflect the base and handset supports 802.11b/g. Refer to uploaded amended user manual. Question #3: This is for your information. For unlicensed devices, parts list and tune-up procedure are not required. You can choose to submit anyway. On the other hand, antenna specification is much desired. Please upload antenna spec in future submission. Answer #3: We understand unlicensed transmitter need not be provided with tune-up procedure and parts list. Therefore, in the future, we will not submit these exhibits. The base and handset uses internal ¼ λ monopole antenna with nominal +1 dBi antenna gain. Refer to uploaded Appendix 3 for antenna specifications. Question #4: This is for your information. This application requires short term confidentiality on EUT photos, however, the test setup photos still show EUT photos, if you want to keep it confidential as well, please update Request for confidentiality letter to add EMC test setup photos. Answer # 4: Refer to uploaded amend Request for Confidentiality letter, which includes request for confidentiality for Appendix 3 for antenna specifications and short-term confidentiality for test set-up photographs. Sincerely, Richard Mullen Richard Mullen Group Manager

Type of Equipment : Travel Phone Model No. : KX-WP1050 (KX-WPA102(Base Unit)) FCC ID: ACJ96NKX-WP1050 Panasonic Communications Co.,Ltd. declares that Model : KX-WP1050 (KX-WPA102(Base Unit)) complies with FCC radiation exposure requirement specified in the FCC Rules 2.1093(for portable)/2.1091 (for mobile). The “KX-WP1050 (KX-WPA102(Base Unit))“ has 108.64 mW of conducted Peak Output power and 136.77 mW of EIRP. This type of Equipment: Travel Phone (Base Unit) is used in the distance of more than 20cm from the human body. The Following calculation is the reference data for 20cm distance. RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provided with the “KX-WP1050 (KX-WPA102(Base Unit))“ as calculated from FCC OET Bulletin 65 Appendix A, Table (B) Limits for General Population / Uncontrolled Exposure. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1.0mW/cm^2 uncontrolled exposure limit. The Friis formula used was: S = (P * G) / (4* π * r 2 ) Where P = 108.64 mW (Maximum peak output power) G = 1.26 Numerical Antenna gain; equal 1.00 dBi r =20.0 cm For: KX-WP1050 (KX-WPA102(Base Unit))S = 0.02721mW/cm 2 No. : 26KE0322-HO KX-WPA102(Base Unit) RF Exposure / MPE Statement
