FCCID: AMWUC717 REFERENCE: EA100464 Mr. Dichoso, With reference to your email; 1. Some how the processing gain got mixed up, attached is the correct processing gain measurements. 2. Attached at the internal photographs. 3. Attached you will find an RF exposure warning information sheet to be included in the User Manual. The circuit description that refers to 19mW is left over from a previous model & I have asked the manufacturer to remove it and I will forward you a copy as soon as I receive it. I cannot find any reference to 15dBm & 19dBm. 4. The radiated ERP measured on the Handset EUT was 10mW and the conducted power was 63mWatts so I do not understand what you are referring to with the 1000mW EIRP. If anything else is required please let me know. Regards, Sid Sanders Encl: Internal photos, correct processing Gain, RF Exposures Statement

Uniden Corp. has asked that I discuss the necessity of having an RF exposure statement because of the low output power. The 127 dBuV/m that you mention in your correspondence is the FCC limit on the radiated emissions page; it is not the output power. Please refer to page 5 of the test report that advises the output data. The users manual figures for power output are the customers wish as to the output power and the test report reflects the actual measured values of the output power. If you want the users manual to match the measured values we can have the customer reflect this change in the users manual. Based on the highest output power of .063 watts, please confirm that no RF statement is required in the userβs manual. Regards, Sharon Hoffman TIMCO ENGINEERING, INC.

RF Exposure Information Your cordless telephone contains a low power transmitter. When the Push to Talk button is pushed it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. This device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%. In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for hand-held wireless devices. CAUTION : To maintain compliance with the FCCβs RF exposure guidelines, hold the transmitter and antenna at least 0.5 inches (1.25 centimeters) from your face, with the antenna pointed up and away from the face, if you wear the handset on your body while using the headset accessory, use only the manufacturers supplied belt chip for this product and ensure that the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) from your body when transmitting. Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations.

Shielded interface cables were used in all cases except for cables connecting to the telephone line and the power cords. A test program was run which simulated a normal data transmission on a network. POWER LINE CONDUCTED INTERFERENCE: The procedure used was ANSI STAN- DARD C63.4-1992 using a 50uH LISN. Both lines were observed. The bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was 10kHz with an appro- priate sweep speed. The ambient temperature of the UUT was 74Β°F with a humidity of 44%. BANDWIDTH 6.0dB: The measurements were made with the spectrum analyz- er's resolution bandwidth(RBW)=100kHz and the video bandwidth(VBW) =300KHz and the span set as shown on plot.
