ENGLISH IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or other injuries, or damage to your Beats Pill + or other property. Read all safety information below before using your Beats Pill + . Read and follow these instructions to use your Beats Pill + safely. • Keep these instructions. • Heed all warnings. • Clean only with dry cloth. • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs and at the point where they exit from the apparatus. • Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. • Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. • Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the apparatus. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to liquids, moisture, excessive heat, or naked flame. • The power cord included with this apparatus is for indoor use only. • To avoid damaging the speakers, do not place the apparatus face down on any surface. • Information such as model number, electrical rating, and other classifications is located on the back of the apparatus. Handling. Handle Beats Pill + with care. It is made of metal and plastic and has sensitive electronic components inside. Beats Pill + can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, or crushed, or if it comes in contact with liquid. Don’t use a damaged Beats Pill + , as it may cause injury. Water and wet locations. Keep your Beats Pill + away from sources of liquid, such as drinks, washbasins, bathtubs, shower stalls, and so on. Protect your Beats Pill + from dampness or wet weather, such as rain, snow, and fog. Repairing. Don’t open Beats Pill + and don’t attempt to repair Beats Pill + yourself. Disassembling Beats Pill + may damage it or may cause injury to you. If Beats Pill + is damaged, malfunctions, or comes in contact with liquid, contact Apple or an authorized service provider. Battery. Don’t attempt to replace the Beats Pill + battery yourself—you may damage the battery, which could cause overheating and injury. The lithium-ion battery in Beats Pill + should be replaced by Apple or an authorized service provider, and must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. Don’t incinerate the battery. For information about battery services and recycling, go to www.beatsbydre.com/support/service-battery.html. Charging. Charge Beats Pill + with the included USB cable and power adapter. Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to Beats Pill + or other property. When you use the included USB Power Adapter to charge Beats Pill + , make sure the USB cable is fully inserted into the power adapter before you plug the adapter into a power outlet. Lightning cable and connector. Avoid prolonged skin contact with the connector when the Lightning to USB Cable is plugged into a power source because it may cause discomfort or injury. Sleeping or sitting on the Lightning connector should be avoided. Prolonged heat exposure. Beats Pill + and its power adapter comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. However, even within these limits, sustained contact with warm surfaces for long periods of time may cause discomfort or injury. Use common sense to avoid situations where your skin is in contact with a device or its power adapter when it’s operating or plugged into a power source for long periods of time. For example, don’t sleep with a device or power adapter, or place them under a blanket, pillow, or your body, when it’s plugged into a power source. It’s important to keep Beats Pill + and its power adapter in a well-ventilated area when in use or charging. Take special care if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against the body. Hearing loss. Listening to sound at high volumes may damage your hearing. Background noise, as well as continued exposure to high volume levels, can make sounds seem quieter than they actually are. For more information about hearing loss, see www.apple.com/sound. Explosive atmospheres. Charging or using Beats Pill + in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, such as areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders), may be hazardous. Obey all signs and instructions. Choking hazard. Some Beats Pill + accessories may present a choking hazard to small children. Keep these accessories away from small children. Disposal and Recycling Information This symbol indicates that this product and/or battery should not be disposed of with household waste. When you decide to dispose of this product and/or its battery, do so in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines.
