Introduction The modem is enabled with WWAN/WLAN/Bluetooth/Thread/MSS/NTN TAS technology feature to control and manage transmitting power, in real time. This DUT supports a time-average method of transmit power control for the aforementioned technologies. Consumed SAR from active radios is tracked and stored for the duration of the applicable regulatory averaging window. Rolling time-averaged SAR values are calculated from the consumed SAR reported from active radios. The time-averaged SAR is always maintained less than the appliable SAR Reported . In this report, the DUT SAR is characterized for all radios that implement a TAS function to determine the power limit that corresponds to the exposure target after accounting for all device design related uncertainties, i.e., SAR Reported for Sub-7.2 GHz radio(s). SAR Characterization will be used as input for the algorithm to operate. SAR Characterization will be loaded and stored in the DUT. 2. SAR Characterization SAR Characterization is generated to cover all radio configurations and usage scenarios that are reported in the initial submission. 2.1. Worst-case SAR Determination Based on FCC KDBs and ISED RSS standards, in general, for a smartphone, the SAR evaluation is required for all the applicable exposure scenarios. Depending on the detection scheme implemented in the smartphone, the worst-case SAR is further grouped and determined for each or combined exposure scenario(s). Note, for the 1-g SAR versus 10-g SAR, the worst-case is determined in terms of exposure ratio (i.e., exposure level relative to the corresponding 1-g or 10-g SAR limit). βͺ If the device does not have any detection mechanism, then the worst-case SAR is determined by taking the maximum SAR value among all exposure scenarios, i.e., worst-case SAR = max {SAR Head , SAR Body , SAR Hotspot , SAR Extremity/Extremity Held-to-Head } βͺ If the device can distinguish each of the above scenarios, then the worst-case SAR for each individual exposure scenario is given by corresponding SAR Head , SAR Body , SAR Hotspot , and SAR Extremity/Extremity Held-to-Head βͺ If the device can only distinguish a subset of the scenarios, then the worst-case SAR is given by: o Corresponding SAR for each exposure scenario that can be distinguished o Worst-case SAR among all other exposure scenario(s) that cannot be distinguished Report No.: Appendix G Issue Date: 2026/07/29 Page 5 of 9 UL Verification Services Inc. Doc. No.: 1.0 This report shall not be reproduced without the written approval of UL Verification Services Inc. 2.2. Usage Scenarios in SAR Evaluation The corresponding usage scenarios are supported by DUT are summarized in Table 2-1. Table 2-1: Usage/Exposure Scenario RF Exposure Power/Index State Description Head Mode A Max permissible power relative to P Limit when the device is used against the userβs head Body-worn Mode B Max permissible power relative to P Limit when the device is used in a Body-worn configuration Hotspot Mode B Max permissible power relative to P Limit when the device is used in a Hotspot configuration Extremity Mode B Max permissible power relative to P Limit when the device is used in an Extremity configuration 2.3. SAR Reported The total device design and related uncertainties of the DUT, including TxAGC and device to device variation, are accounted for by the following equation: νν΄ν Reported <νν΄ν νννν’ννν‘ννν¦ ννννν‘ Γ10 βν‘νν‘νν ν’ννννν‘νννν‘ν¦ 10 For the regulatory requirement of 1.6 W/kg, and 4.0 W/kg, 1-g ,10-g SAR respectively, the SAR Reported values, accounting for total uncertainty, are outlined within the SAR Characterization tables: Report No.: Appendix G Issue Date: 2026/07/29 Page 6 of 9 UL Verification Services Inc. Appendix I: Antenna Cluster Analysis This device supports Antenna Clustering for transmission of Power Mode B. Collocated antennas with significant overlap of RF exposure hotspots are grouped into a single cluster. Non-collocated antennas are grouped in a separate cluster. Non- collocated clusters operate with independent budget allocations. This operation is managed by the time-averaging implementation. Antennas 1/3/7/9 are assigned to AC1. Antennas 2/4/6/8/14 are assigned to AC2. Antennas 2/4/8/14/16 are assigned to AC3. Cellular antennas 2/4/8/14 are shared between AC2 and AC3. AC3 ANT 16 Cellular Antennas Connectivity Antennas AC1AC2 ANT 1/3/7/9 ANT 3ANT 4/6 ANT 2/4/8/14 When performing the Antenna Clustering Analysis procedure defined below, Cellular technologies and bands were grouped together based on overlapping frequencies. The groupings are defined as the following: GroupBandsGroupBands 1 LTE B71 FR1 n71 10 LTE B30 FR1 n30 2 LTE B12/17 FR1 n12 11 LTE B53 FR1 n53 3LTE B1312 LTE B7 FR1 n7 4 LTE B14 FR1 n14 13 LTE B38/41 FR1 n38/41 5 GSM 850 W-CDMA B5 LTE B5/26 FR1 n5/n26 14 LTE B48 FR1 n48 6LTE B10615FR1 n77 Block A 7FR1 n7017FR1 n77 Block C 8 W-CDMA B4 LTE B4/66 FR1 n66 9 GSM 1900 W-CDMA B2 LTE B2/25 FR1 n2/25 When performing the Antenna Clustering Analysis procedure defined below, Connectivity technologies and bands were scaled down to 0.4 W/kg to match the max possible allotment of SAR Budget assuming Cellular is operating at P Limit . The following procedure was performed to determine compliance for the antenna clustering implementation.: 1. Sum of SAR: a. Sum of SAR is performed on all unique band and antenna combinations between AC1 and AC2 / AC3. b. Any combination where the sum is β€ the applicable RF exposure limit is validated and can be excluded from further evaluation. Any configuration where the sum is > the applicable RF exposure limit requires further evaluation per the following steps. 2. SPLSR: a. SPLSR is performed for combinations from Step 1 that are > the applicable RF exposure limit. b. The overall minimum separation distance between peak SAR points of each cluster is used for assessment, per each unique band combined. c. When the SPLSR calculation is β€ the applicable published SPLSR limit, no further assessment is required. Any configuration where the SPLSR calculation is > the applicable published SPLSR limit requires further evaluation per the following step. 3. Multi-Tx Combined Measurement: a. Multi-Tx combined measurement is performed for combinations from Step 2 that are > the applicable published SPLSR limit. b. Area scans or zoom scans for the worst case WWAN and Connectivity configurations from step 2 that was > the applicable published SPLSR limit are combined to determine the overall measured 1g aggregate SAR value. c. The overall measured 1g aggregate SAR value must be compliant to the regulatory SAR limit to validate non-collocation. Conclusion: When following the procedure outlined above, if the device is within the thresholds for any of the three steps, then the device is determined to be compliant. 1.
