FCC ID: BCGA3358 RF EXPOSURE REPORT Approved by: Technical Manager DUT Type: APPENDIX F: Page 1 of 50 Tablet Device A P P E N D I X F : M U L T I-T X A N D A N T E N N A S A R C O N S I D E R A T I O N S F.1 Introduction The following procedures adopted from FCC KDB Publication 447498 D04v01 are applicable to devices with built- in unlicensed transmitters such as 802.11 and Bluetooth devices which may simultaneously transmit with the licensed transmitter. F.2 Simultaneous Transmission Procedures This device contains transmitters that may operate simultaneously. Therefore, simultaneous transmission analysis is required. Per FCC KDB Publication 447498 D04v01 4.3.2 and IEEE 1528-2013 Section 6.3.4.1.2, simultaneous transmission SAR test exclusion may be applied when the sum of the 1g SAR for all the simultaneous transmitting antennas in a specific a physical test configuration is ≀1.6 W/kg. The different test positions in an exposure condition may be considered collectively to determine SAR test exclusion according to the sum of 1g or 10g SAR. Note: This device is enabled with the manufacturer’s time-averaged method of Tx power control for cellular and connectivity radios (WiFi, Bluetooth, NB U-NII and 802.15.4). Co-located connectivity cellular and connectivity antennas with significant overlap of RF exposure hotspots are grouped into a single cluster. There are two pre- defined cellular antenna clusters (AC): AC1 (Ant 3 and Ant 4b), AC2 (Ant 1 and Ant 2b). Also, there are three pre-defined connectivity antenna clusters: AC3 (Ant 4a), AC4 (Ant 2a), and AC5 (Ant WF5B). This device also supports a dynamic budget sharing algorithm. It enables separate budget caps for the power state 1 and power state 2 use conditions. In power state 1 operation, the cellular radio is active; in cellular simultaneous operation, other radios (i.e. connectivity antennas) are operational concurrently. Additionally, connectivity radios have two different budget conditions depending on the cellular budget caps. When the cellular budget is 1.0 W/kg, the connectivity budget is 0.6 W/kg. However, when the cellular budget is 1.2 W/kg, the connectivity budget is 0.4 W/kg. Both cellular and connectivity antenna budgets were evaluated for simultaneous scenarios compliance. SAR Summations for some scenarios when the output power levels are reduced, SAR values at the maximum output power level was used as the most conservative evaluation for simultaneous transmission analysis. When operating in the same antenna cluster, the compliance under dynamic transmission conditions, including all supported simultaneous transmission scenarios, should be assessed and demonstrated in the Time-Averaged SAR Validation FCC Licensed TAS and the FCC TAS Connectivity Validation Report during algorithm validation. This applies to multiple antennas in the same antenna cluster or different modes transmitting simultaneously in the same antenna cluster. For the evaluation of simultaneous transmission analysis in this report, the highest SAR value across all modes in the same antenna cluster was considered for summation and most conservative to determine simultaneous SAR test exclusions. For each position, the highest SAR value across all modes for the applicable cellular band antenna was considered for summation to determine simultaneous SAR test exclusion. **The SAR distributions for at least one of the antennas are spatially separated from the other antennas per FCC KDB Publication 248227 Section 6.1 procedures. Therefore, simultaneous transmission were treated independently for this configuration. See section E.4 for more information about the Spatial Separation Analysis In some cases where simultaneous transmission scenarios overlap with the same power level (for example, cellular band + 2.4 GHz WIFI SISO and cellular band + 2.4 GHz WIFI MIMO), the most conservative SAR summation scenario was evaluated. The measured SAR does not deviate more than 10% from the target on the calibration certificate. 2. The return-loss does not deviate more than 20% from the previous measurement and meets the required 20dB minimum return-loss requirement. 3. The measurement of real or imaginary parts of impedance does not deviate more than 5Ξ© from the previous measurement. The following dipole was checked to pass the above 3 requirements to have 2-year calibration period from the calibration date: Calibration Date Extension Date Certificate Electrical Delay (ns) Certificate SAR Target Head (1g) W/kg @ 20.0 dBm Measured Head SAR (1g) W/kg @ 20.0 dBm Deviation 1g (%) Certificate SAR Target Head (10g) W/kg @ 20.0 dBm Measured Head SAR (10g) W/kg @ 20.0 dBm Deviation 10g (%) Certificate Impedance Head (Ohm) Real Measured Impedance Head (Ohm) Real Difference (Ohm) Real Certificate Impedance Head (Ohm) Imaginary Measured Impedance Head (Ohm) Imaginary Difference (Ohm) Imaginary Certificate Return Loss Head (dB) Measured Return Loss Head (dB) Deviation (%) 9/6/2023 9/6/2024 1.216 3.56 3.49 -1.97% 1.88 1.83 -2.66% 49.7 51.0 1.3 -1.6 0.8 2.4 -35.5 -33.3 6.20% Object: Date Issued: Page 3 of 3 D1750V2 – SN: 1104 09/06/2024 Impedance & Return-Loss Measurement Plot for Head TSL YW 12/28/2023 YW 11/19/2024

Test sequences are generated based on below parameters of the DUT: a. EFS maximum power (P max,nom ) b. EFS Tx_power_at_SAR_design_target (P limit, nom ) c. SAR_time_window (360s for ISED) 2. Startup Sequence A Waveform: a. Based on the parameters above, startup sequence A is generated with one transition between high and low Tx powers. Here, high power = P max,nom ; low power = 0.5 x P limit, nom , and the transition occurs after at least 100 seconds of high power P max . The startup sequence A waveform is described below: Table E-1 Startup Sequence A 3. Startup Sequence B Waveform: b. Based on the parameters above, startup sequence B is generated with one transition between high and low Tx powers. Here, 1 mW (0dBm); high power = P max,nom , and the transition occurs after at least 100 seconds of 1mW (0 dBm). Pseudo-random Sequence Waveform: A pseudo-random sequence of power requests shall be applied to validate the dynamic behavior of the TAS algorithm. Each test shall be performed with a unique sequence of 150 independent power requests. These power levels are calculated as follows: where P req is the requested power in watts and x is a random value drawn from the Weibull distribution with shape and scale parameters of 2.0 and 0.8 respectively. These values were chosen to ensure that P req exceeds P limit, nom on average, while maintaining a reasonable likelihood that some P req values will sometimes fall well below P limit, nom . The corresponding request durations are given by: where T req is the duration of the power request in seconds and y is a uniformly distributed random value between 0 and 1. Figure E-1 illustrates a requested power sequence for P limit, nom = 100 mW (20 dBm), P max,nom = 200 mW (23 dBm) and P req β‰₯ 1 mW (0 dBm). The request durations have been r…
