American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 April 5, 2006 RE: FCC ID: BEJMG180_ATCB003350 Attention: Jay Kim I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that confidentiality requests need to be signed by some on the 731 form. The current confidentiality requests are signed by a Mr E.S Park. Under what authority does Mr Park have to sign request for actions on this application? Please note that while this has not been requested in previous applications, the FCC has taken a recent stand that requests must be signed by authorized persons on the 731 form or by someone who has evidence of authority. 2. FYI – no action needed at this time. In future applications, please provide an authorization letter for Estech as agent. 3. FYI – no action needed at this time. Please note that the results column (deviation) for frequency stability does not have units assigned. It is not therefore known what this column represents (i.e. %, ppm, Hz, etc). It is only assumed that the column is in Hz. Please provide the units for all measurement results. 4. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

The receive antenna height and turn table rotation was adjusted for the highest reading on the receive spectrum analyzer. For CDMA signals, a peak detector is used, with RBW = VBW = 3MHz. For AMPS, GSM, and NADC TDMA signals, a peak detector is used, with RBW = VBW = 1MHz, A Horn antenna was substituted in place of the EUT. This Horn antenna was driven by a signal generator and the level of the signal generator was adjusted to obtain the same receive spectrum analyzer reading. This spurious level is recorded. For reading 1GHz, the above procedure is repeated using horn antennas and the difference between the gain of the horn and an isotropic or dipole antenna are taken into consideration. Power Output is ERP for Part 22 and EIRP for Part 24. Body-worn operations are restricted to belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic component in the assembly and which provide at least 1.5 cm separation between the device and the users body. End users must be informed of the body worn requirements for satisfying RF Exposure compliance. The highest reported SAR values are: Part 22 Head: 1.18 W/kg; Body-worn 0.71 W/kg; PCS Band Head: 0.811 W/kg; Body-worn 0.742 W/kg. This device contains 900/1800 MHz GSM functions that are not operational in U.S. Territories. This filing is only applicable for 1900 MHz PCS operations.
