In August 1996, the Federal Communications (FCC) of the United States, with its action in Report and Order FCC 96-326, adopted an updated safety standard for human exposure to radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy emitted by FCC regulated transmitters. Those guidelines are consistent with the safety standard previously set by both U.S. and international standards bodies. The design of this phone complies with the FCC guidelines and these international standards. CAUTION Use only the supplied and approved antenna. Use of unauthorized antennas or modifications could impair call quality, damage the phone, void your warranty and/or result in violation of FCC regulations. Do not use the phone with a damaged antenna. If a damaged antenna comes into contact with the skin a minor burn may result. Contact your local dealer for a replacement of antenna. *PD8380_eng-1.qxd 04/5/21 8:02 PM Page 4 LG-PD8380 5 Bodily Contact During Operation This device was tested for typical use with the back of the phone kept 1.5 cm from the body. To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 1.5 cm must be maintained between the user’s body and the back of the phone, including the antenna whether extended or retracted. Third-party belt- clips, holsters, and similar accessories containing metallic components should not be used. Avoid the use of accessories that cannot maintain 1.5 cm distance between the user’s body and the back of the phone …

AFFIDAVIT FOR ESN PROTECTION OF CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONES We hereby certify that the LGE Handheld Portable Cellular Telephone(FCC ID: BEJPD8380) is so designed that it complies with all the requirements for ESN protection specified in section 22.919 of the FCC Rules. A) The transmitter in service has a unique ESN. B) The ESN host component is permanently attached to a main circuit board of the mobile transmitter and the integrity of the unit operating software cannot be altered. The ESN is plated from fraudulent contact and tampering. The ESN is encoded using multiplication by a polynomial and the ESN data programmed in the memory with other information. C) The ESN is factory-set and cannot be altered, transferred, removed or otherwise able to be manipulated. Cellular mobile equipment is specifically designed such that any attempt to remove, tamper with, or change the ESN chip, its logic system, or firmware originally programmed by the manufacturer will render the mobile transmitter inoperative. 1 Mike Kuo From: Helen Zhao Sent: June282004Monday 5:19 PM To: Mike Kuo Subject: LG Electronics Inc., FCC ID: BEJPD8380, Assessment NO.: AN04T3995, LG-PD820 User Manual_Re.pdf LG-PD8380 User Manual_Re.pdf Hello Mike, Below is the reply from LG to your questions: Question #1: The max. measured SAR value as indicated in the SAR test report is : head :1.26 W/kg and Body:0.773 W/kg. These values do not agree those values listed in the page 86 of user manual (head :1.32 W/kg; Body:0.686 W/kg). Please make necessary correction. -> I corrected that. I deleted that part. Question #2: As indicated in the SAR test report, this phone was tested with 1.5 cm space gap. However, in the page 15 of user manual indicated that this device will be sold with holster. Please provide a photo of holster and indicate on thickness of holster on the photo. -> I corrected that. We do not offer holster. Question #3: As indicated in page 14 of user manual, this phone will be offered to use with two type of batteries. In the SAR and EMC test report, only one battery was tested. Please provide separate EMC and SAR body worn test data for another battery. -> I corrected that. We do not offer extened battery. Best Regards. --------------------------------------------------- Chris Lee Research Engineer QE Gr.
