Modulating frequency of 15,000Hz In the plots originally sent to you I took the βsystem deviationβ to be 30KHz and therefore set the input 16dB above the input required for 15KHz deviation. If I set the input to 30dB above the level to produce 50% modulation I get the plot that have labeled #3. This is the picture that you are looking for I think. The transmitter frequency is controlled by a crystal, the crystal specifications are included in PAGE . There are no devices or circuitry to limit the power, since this is a low power device. The interstage cou- pling between TR1, TR2, TR3, TR4, and TR6 as well as the low pass filter made up of L2, VC1, C26, L3, VC2, C28, L4, L6, VC3, & C29 suppress the harmonics. Limiting Modulation: The transmitter audio circuitry is contained in IC2. The modulation limiting is also provided by IC1B. Limiting Power: There is no provision for limiting power.
