DISH Network Warranty, Safety, and Regulatory Information LIMITED WARRANTY This Limited Warranty is a legal document. Keep it in a safe place. Remember to retain your Bill of Sale for warranty service. Any items returned without a copy of the Bill of Sale will be considered out of warranty. What the Warranty Covers This warranty extends only to the original user of the equipment and is limited to the purchase price of each part. DISH Network L.L.C. and its affiliated companies (“DISH Network”) warrant the equipment against defects in materials or workmanship as follows: Labor: For a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase, if DISH Network determines that the equipment is defective subject to the limitations of this warranty, it will be replaced at no charge for labor. DISH Network warrants any such work done against defects in materials or workmanship for the remaining portion of the original warranty period. Parts: For a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase, DISH Network will supply, at no charge, new or re-manufactured parts in exchange for parts determined to be defective subject to the limitations of this warranty. DISH Network warrants any such replacement parts against defects in materials or workmanship for the remaining part of the original warranty period. Note: “Parts” means items included in this package, which may include the external power supply and remote control. It does not include other parts purchased separately. What the Warranty Does Not Cover This warranty does not cover installation of the system. If applicable, such installation will be warranted under a separate installation agreement. This warranty does not cover consumer instruction, physical setup or adjustment of any consumer electronic devices, remote control batteries or network connectivity or signal strength problems. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, damage due to lightning, electrical or telephone line surges, battery leakage, fire, flood, or other acts of Nature, accident, misuse, abuse, repair or alteration by other than authorized factory service, use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer, negligence, commercialor institutional use, or improper or neglected maintenance. If a Representative determines you should return your equipment, you will be given a Return Authorization (RA) number and instructions for completing the return. Important Safety Instructions • Do not use your DISH Network product near water. • Do not place your DISH Network product near heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. • Do not block the ventilation holes on your DISH Network product. It requires adequate ventilation. Do not place your DISH Network product in a cabinet or built-in installation unless sufficient ventilation is provided. Do not place anything on top of your DISH Network product. • Operate your DISH Network product from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. • Route power cables so they are not likely to be walked on, rolled over, or pinched by items placed upon or against them, or otherwise subject to abuse, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product. • Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on your DISH Network product. • Unplug your DISH Network product before cleaning. Use only a dry cloth to clean it. • Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. Lightning For added protection of this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods, unplug your DISH Network product from the wall outlet. Servicing Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
