REPORT PREPARED AND APPROVED BY: Kenneth B. Jacobson Kenneth B. Jacobson Product Engineer GTCO CalComp - 3 - II.STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE Under the test configuration as described in this test report, the product tested has shown that it complies to the requirements of: FCC RULES, PART 15, SUBPART B, CLASS B LIMITS The product tested has shown that it also complies to the requirements of: EC STANDARD EN55022/CISPR 22, CLASS B LIMITS We, GTCO CalComp, assume full responsibility to manufacture the product as shown in the enclosed photographs to uphold compliance to the FCC rules. SIGNED:Randy Crutchfield Randy Crutchfield TITLE: Manager of Engineering - 4 - III. DESCRIPTION OF TEST SAMPLE The GTCO CalComp Digitizer Model 36090, is a microprocessor-based device that can convert graphic information into accurate digital information for entry into the host computer. The digitizer can be used for drawing, drafting, mapping, desktop publishing, animation, menuing and presentation graphics. The basic operation of the digitizer is as follows: An AC current flowing in the transducer electromagnetically induces voltages into precisely positioned conductors beneath the tablet’s surface. The tablet electronics finds the tablet grid conductors with the largest signals and converts the grid signals into digital position data. The tablet sends the information out the communication port to the host. The data generated indicates the distance vertically and horizontally from the origin on the digitizer’s surface. The digitizer can support either RS-232 or USB interfaces. The digitizer comes with a ‘universal cable’ which has a 8 pin mini-din connector on the end. Depending which interface the end user wants to use, they will either plug in a RS-232 adapter or a USB adapter which is supplied with the digitizer into the 8 pin mini-din. The digitizers firmware will determine which interface it will support. Photo’s of the adapters is included with the photos of the digitizer. The digitizer receives it’s power from the host computer and the transducer (mouse) is battery operated and is approve by the FCC under Part 15, Subpart C. - 5 - IV.SUBASSEMBLIES OF TEST SAMPLE The GTCO CalComp Digitizer Model 36090 consists of a single PCB board and the only subassemblies would be a mouse or the I/O adapters. See attached photographs. - 6 - V.TEST EQUIPMENT AND CALIBRATION The following is a list of equipment and calibration dates that are used at GTCO CalComp’s test site.
