Operation Description 1. Product description. AirMate is kind of Bluetooth USB Dongle which allows the device to connect to Bluetooth enabled devices by being inserted into the USB port of the Computer/PDA. And furthermore, it includes USB Flash Memory Drive on AirMate as well so that the user can use it as a portable storage device all the times. 2. Functions AirMate allows the device to have the following functions(Profiles) such as Information Interchange, File Transfer, Network Access, Dial-Up Networking and etc. and it can be used as a portable storage. GAP(Generic Access Profile) : GEAP indicates the Bluetooth standard requirement in the Protocol Stack to connect between Bluetooth enabled devices, it includes L2CAP, RFCOMM, OBEX in the security layer and all the profiles such as SDAP, SPP, DUN and LAN Access etc. SDAP(Service Discovery Application Profile) SDAP allows the device to search for the device which is available while the system is in connection, and it provides with the information of the service available. SPP(Serial Port Profile) Bluetooth Serial Port application allows the device to establish a wireless serial connection with a remote Bluetooth remote device. DUN(Dial-up Networking) Bluetooth Dial-up Networking application allows the device to use a modem the is physically connected to a remote device to access the internet, log on to a remote network. Fax Profile The Bluetooth Fax Service allows the device to send a fax using a Fax/Modem that is physically connected to a remote device. LAP (LAN Access Profile) The Network Access Service makes it possible for a remote Bluetooth device to use the Local Area Network connection that is physically attached to this computer. GOEP(Generic Object Exchange Profile) GOEP allows the device to exchange objects to the other Bluetooth device, such as Synchronization, File Transfer and Object Push. OPP(Object Push Profile) OPP allows the device to push object(Business Cards...) to the other Bluetooth device by using GOEP. FTP(File Transfer Profile) File Transfer Profile allows the device to perform file operations on the Bluetooth Exchange Folder (and the folders and files it contains) of a remote device, and copy to/from a remote device. Synchronization Profile The Synchronization profile can be used by a remote device to synchronize its Personal Information Manager(PIM) database with the PIM database of the device such as Business cards, Calendar items, Email messages, and Notes. HCRP(Hard Copy Replacement Profile) HCRP includes the following profile services; Discovery and Connection Setup, Service Discovery, Data Channel Flow Control, Control Channel Protocol and Notification Handling.
