Fleetwood Group Inc. FCC ID: FBRLCB100-EI Page 1 of 2 File Name: EINB_Manual.doc Date: 6/15/2004 eInstruction cpsRF® Response System User Manual Model LCB100-E1 Base and LCK-E1 Keypad Frequency 2.4 GHz The eInstruction cpsRF Model LCK–E1 keypad is a wireless portable device that along with a base unit Model LCB100-EI makes it possible for a number of people to participate interactively in a class situation. The product accomplishes this by sending keypad switch closure information from the keypad to the base unit employing a wireless transceiver to receive the keypad signal. These signals are processed by the base unit and delivered to a host computer which allows the responses to be stored, analyzed and if desired displayed on a video projector for feedback to the group showing the results of their participation. The cpsRF keypad is housed in a translucent blue plastic enclosure similar in appearance to a small TV remote control device. It is powered by 2 AA battery cells, eliminating external wires or connections. The keypad uses a membrane switch panel for numeric entry and an LCD display for entry display to the user. The system operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band using frequency hopping spread spectrum. In Canada, to prevent radio interference to any licensed service sharing this band, this device is intended to be operated indoors and away from windows to provide maximum shielding. Equipment (or its transmit antenna) that is installed outdoors is subject to licensing. System Setup 1. Unpack the cpsRF base unit and set it on a table or available surface in the vicinity of where the cpsRF keypads will be used. 2. Plug the USB DC power/data cable into an available USB port on a PC; plug the other end into the USB port on the cpsRF base. 3. Open the carrying case containing the response keypads and distribute them to the participants. 4. Turn on the computer and start the application software to control the base unit to poll for keypad responses. The application software will have its own instructions for using the system. Operation 1. Instruct the participants on the usage of the response keypads and procedure for responding. 2. Ask a question and/or send prompts from the base unit for keypad LCD display and allow enough time (at least 10 seconds) for all participants to respond. A self pace testing mode is also available. 3. Observe the results on the screen and optionally save the results for later analysis if desired. 4. Proceed and repeat the process for the next question. 5. Continue until all questions are completed. 6. Analyze the responses for the period and run printouts if desired. Fleetwood Group Inc. FCC ID: FBRLCB100-EI Page 2 of 2 File Name: EINB_Manual.doc Date: 6/15/2004 System Shutdown 1. Turn off the power to the computer. 2. Unplug the USB cable from the computer and store it in its carrying case. 3. Store the cpsRF base in the carrying case. 4. Collect the cpsRF keypads and return them to the carrying case. 5. The system is now ready for transporting.

Test report #0400678BF FCC 15.247 for LCB100-EI FCC ID: FBRLCB100-EI AHD EMC Lab, 92723 M152, Dowagiac, MI 49047, (269) 424-7014 Page 1 of 4 Antenna Conducted Measurement [ 15.247(c) ] MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE: 1. The EUT output was directly connected to the spectrum analyzer capable of measuring the 10 th harmonic of the highest frequency used, 24750MHz. 2. The spectrum analyzer bandwidth settings are 100KHz RBW, 300KHz VBW. 3. The peak of the fundamental is determined. 4. A display line is set on the spectrum analyzer 20dB below the fundamental level. 5. The remainder of the spectrum, through 25GHz, is observed for any emissions that are greater than the 20dBc display line. Using 100KHz resolution bandwidth, the spurious emissions outside the 2400-2483.5MHz band that is produced by the intentional radiator are greater than 20dB below the level of the fundamental frequency. The charts on the following pages show the spectrum pattern of the EUT emissions. At the fundamental frequency of 2401MHz the highest level of the out of band spurious emission is 22.32dB below the level of the fundamental. At the fundamental frequency of 2438MHz the highest level of the out of band spurious emission is 24.65dB below the level of the fundamental. At the fundamental frequency of 2475MHz the highest level of the out of band spurious emission is 29.64dB below the level of the fundamental.
