OWNER’S MANUAL Models: SLRF12,6904(A), 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Silencer ® automotive security products have been designed to provide the consumer with a product that is technologically superior and will provide years of trouble free operation. The information enclosed will provide a ready reference of the operation and maintenance of your new Silencer ® security system. The operating instructions enclosed are for different security system models. Many of the functions are similar between the models but be sure to follow the instructions that pertain to your model security system only. If you are not sure of the model of your security system, contact your car dealer finance department and ask for the model number. Remote Control Transmitters “Using the Transmitter to Arm the Security System” 1. Exit the vehicle and close all entrances. 2. Press and release the button on the transmitter. The security system will respond as follows: A. The horn/siren will chirp one time. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P but is an option for 6904(A)) B. The LED indicator will begin to flash at a steady rate. C. The parking lights will flash one time. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P but is an option for 6904(A)) D. The starter is deactivated which prevents the engine from being started. E. All protected entrances are armed. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P) F. The horn/siren will sound one additional time if the vehicle has delayed interior lights that stay on after the door is closed. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, 7921P but is an option for 6904(A)) The security system is now fully armed! The Silencer security systems can operate from any one of the four transmitters shown here. Locate the transmitter that was supplied with your system and use the drawing as a ready reference while reading through the operating procedures. Check with your car dealer if you are unsure. 1. Turn off the ignition key and exit the vehicle. 6904(A): Upon turning off the ignition key, the LED indicator will begin to flash fast. The fast flashing LED indicates that the automatic arming timer is counting down and the security system will become armed within 30 seconds. After 30 seconds has passed, the security system will respond in the following manner : A. The flashing LED will slow down to the normal armed flashing speed. B. The optional beeper will beep one time. C. The optional parking light flasher will flash the parking lights one time. D. The starter will become deactivated and the engine will not start. 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, and 7921P: Close all protected entrances. After the last protected entrance is closed the horn/siren will chirp one time and the LED indicator will begin to flash fast. The fast flashing LED indicates that the automatic arming timer is counting down and the security system will become armed within 30 seconds. After 30 seconds has passed, the security system will respond in the following manner: Note 1:Re-opening a protected entrance before the system becomes armed will stop the arming timer. After closing the entrance the timer will begin counting again from zero. Note 2:If the vehicle has a delayed interior lighting system, the automatic arming timer will start counting after the interior lighting has turned itself off. This could add up to 45 seconds to the total automatic arming countdown time. (Up to 75 seconds total arming delay) A. The horn/siren will chirp one time. B. The LED indicator will begin to flash slower. C. The parking lights will flash one time. D. The starter will become deactivated and will prevent the engine from starting. E. All protected entrances are armed. The security system is now fully armed! 3 Automatic Arming (Without Using the Transmitter) 1. Press and release the button on the transmitter. The security system will respond as follows: A. The horn/siren will chirp two times. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only, but is an option on 6904(A)) B1.The LED indicator will be off. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only) B2.The LED indicator will be flashing very fast. (Applies to 6904(A) only) C.The parking lights will flash two times. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only, but is an option on 6904(A)) Note 1: If you are disarming the security system after it has been triggered and the horn/siren is sounding, the disarm chirps are automatically deleted. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A),6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only) Note 2: The optional 6945PET passive transmitter will automatically disarm the system and unlock the doors (if equipped) as you approach your vehicle. Operational Description

SLRF12 (302MHZ) Operational Description The car alarm transmitter is a low powered, hand held unit for remote controlling the car locks and other features. See the function descriptions in attached. The transmitter is powered by a 3 volt battery. It is designed to operate on a single fixed frequency at 302 MHz. See the attached block diagram and schematic. There are 1 buttons trigger the integrated circuit (U1) which produces the digital control signals and will modulate the carrier signal. The carrier signal is generated by a crystal oscillator/ amplifier circuit comprised of a 302 MHz crystal (X1) and a npn transmitter (Q1). The modulated output of the RF amplifier stage is coupled to the PCB strip antenna. The coupling network comprised of L1, C3 and C4. The strip antenna is attached on PCB permanently around 20 mm. The transmitter is manually operated by the buttons pushed and will automatically deactivate within 3 seconds after the button being released. This feature is incorporated by the U1 internally. All tuning and verification are performed by the manufacture and there are no adjustments can be made by the user. No external ground is required or used with this transmitter.
