The application of the ZMN2400 Series in a wireless network for data collection in industrial monitoring and control. Block Diagram in Figure 1 The ZMN2400 Series radio modules consist of an RF transceiver and a microprocessor. The RF transceiver receives data and commands from the microprocessor as well as the clock required by the RF transceiver. The Block diagrams in Figure 1 shows both the ZMN2400 (Low Power) and the ZMN2400HP (High Power). They are the same with the exception of T/R switches and a PA (Power Amp) and a LNA (Low Noise Amp) in the high power version. The output power is +16 dBm for the high power and 0 dBm for the low power ZigBee Transceivers. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. Cirroent’s ZigBee Module has shielding as required. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs. Cirroent’s ZigBee Module has buffered modulation and data inputs. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation. Cirronet’s ZigBee Module has its own internal regulator. 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204(c). Cirronet’s ZigBee Module output is through a set of connections which are like a ball grid array and once soldered to a PC board the connects are not accessible. Without a support PC board the module is unusable. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration, i.e., the module must not be inside another device during testing. Cirronet’s ZigBee Module was tested on a support PC board designed to meet the requirements of modular approval. Complete open. 6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number Cirronet’s ZigBee Module is design as a OEM module. The chamber is lined with Toyo Ferrite Grid Absorber, model number FFG-1000. The ferrite tile grid is 101 x 101 x 19mm thick and weighs approximately 550 grams. These tiles are mounted on steel panels and installed directly on the inner walls of the chamber. The turntable is 150cm in diameter and is located 160cm from the back wall of the chamber. The chamber is grounded via 1 - 8’ copper ground rod, installed at the center of the back wall, it is bound to the ground plane using 3/4" stainless steel braided cable. The turntable is all steel, flush mounted table installed in an all steel frame. The table is remotely operated from inside the control room located 25’ from the range. The turntable is electrically bonded to the surrounding ground plane via steel fingers installed on the edge of the turn table. The steel fingers make constant contact with the ground plane during operation. Behind the turntable is a 3’ x 6’ x 4’ deep shielded pit used for support equipment if necessary. The pit is equipped with 1 - 4” PVC chases from the turntable to the pit that allow for cabling to the EUT if necessary. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. OEM integrators must be provided with antenna installation instructions. OEM integrators and end-Users must be provided with transmitter operation conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This grant is valid only when the device is sold to OEM integrators and the OEM integrators are instructed to ensure that the end user has no manual instructions to change the antenna, or to remove or install the device.
