Users Manual

Manual Requirement of FCC / IC Our product (DNNS082-02) is one of vehicle parts incorporated into the vehicle as original equipment. Therefore, we will not supply the user manual. However, we will ask the vehicle manufacturer to include following statements in the user manual of the vehicle in accordance with FCC and IC requirements. 1. Requirement for User manual of the vehicle 1.1. FCC Requirement 1.1.1. In accordance with 15.21 of FCC rule, following statement will be included in the user manual of the vehicle. 1.1.2 In accordance with requirement of FCC§15.19(a)(3), following statement will be included in the user manual of the vehicle. 1.1.3 In accordance with requirement of FCC radio frequency Exposure Guidelines, following statement will be included in the user manual of the vehicle. FCC WARNING Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. NOTE This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. CAUTION: Radio Frequency Radiation Exposure This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio fre quency (RF) Exposure Guidelines. This equipment has very low levels of RF energy that it deemed to comply without maximum permissive exposure evaluation (MPE). But it is desirable that it should be installed and operated with at least 20cm and more between the radiator and person’s body. Co-location This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 1.2. IC Requirement 1.2.1. In accordance with requirement of RSS-GEN, following statement will be included in the user manual of the vehicle. 1.2.2 In accordance with requirement of RSS-102 of the IC radio frequency Exposure rules, following statement will be included in the user manual of the vehicle. The antenna cannot be removed (and changed) by user. NOTE This device complies with Industry Canada’s licence-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. CAUTION: Radio Frequency Radiation Exposure This equipment complies with IC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets RSS-102 of the IC radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules.

RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provided with the “DNNS082-02“ as calculated from (B) Limits for General Population / Uncontrolled Exposure of TABLE 1- LIMITS FOR MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE (MPE) of §1.1310 Radiofrequency radiation exposure limits. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1mW/cm^2 uncontrolled exposure limit. The Friis formula used was: Where P = 0.83 mW (Maximum average output power) G = 0.457 Numerical Antenna gain; equal to -3.4 dBi r = 20 cm (Separation distance) 0.00008 mW/cm 2 Power Density Result S = 2 4r GP S     Even taking into account the tolerance, this device can be satisfied with the limits.
