Official government charts and notices to mariners contain all information needed to navigate safely . • If the device provides depth data, it should not be used as the primary means of preventing grounding or collision. Supplement depth data readings with information from applicable paper charts and visual indicators. Always operate the vessel at slow speeds if you suspect shallow water or submerged objects. Failure to heed this warning could lead to vessel damage or personal injury . • If the device has video input capabilities, do not attempt to operate or watch video input while operating or navigating your vessel. Tune Up Procedure for Garmin IPH-02120: Each unit’s TX and RX functionality is tested and judged with a pass/fail criteria during production. Units meeting the criteria continue through production and others are returned for diagnostics. Operation of the Bluetooth transmitter can only be turned on/off by the end user. The end user will not have any means to change the frequency of the Bluetooth transmissions. The end user will have the ability to change the frequency channel of the transceiver. Each channel tunes the transceiver to a pre-set frequency set by the Wi-Fi module. The end user will not have the ability to tune the transceiver outside of the certified range. The following steps describe how to change the Wi-Fi transmit frequency by changing the frequency channel: 1) Turn the unit on by pressing the power key. 2) From the Home screen select Settings. 3) Select Communications. 4) Select Wireless Network. 5) Select Advanced. 6) Select Wireless Channel. 7) Use the keypad to enter the desired channel and press Done. 8) Use the back key to return to the Wireless Network menu or select Home to return to the main page.
