Users Manual

IMPORTANT SAFETY AND PRODUCT INFORMATION WARNING Failure to heed the following warnings could result in an accident or collision resulting in death or serious injury. Battery Warnings A lithium-ion battery is used in this device. If these guidelines are not followed, batteries may experience a shortened life span or may present a risk of damage to the device, fire, chemical burn, electrolyte leak, and/or injury. • Do not expose the device or batteries to fire, explosion, or other hazard. • Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture or damage the device or batteries. • Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-replaceable battery. Distraction Warning This device is intended to enhance the situational awareness when used properly. If used improperly, you could become distracted by the display, which could lead to an accident causing serious personal injury or death. Only access the information displayed on the device with a glance. Always maintain awareness of your surroundings and do not stare at the display or become distracted by the display. Focusing on the display could prevent you from avoiding obstacles or hazards. Driver Assistance Warning If your device has Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) features, be advised that these features are for information only and do not replace your responsibility to observe all road and driving conditions, abide by all traffic regulations, and use safe driving judgment at all times. The FCWS and LDWS features rely on the camera to provide warnings of upcoming vehicles and lane markers and, as a result, may have limited functionality in low visibility conditions. Certain conditions may impair the warning function. Go to garmin.com/warnings for details. Choking Hazard This product contains small parts. This product is not for children under 3 years. Vehicle Installation Warnings • When installing the device in a vehicle, do not place the device where it obstructs the driver’s view of the road or interferes with vehicle operating controls, such as the steering wheel, foot pedals, or transmission levers. Do not place unsecured on the vehicle dashboard . Do not place the device in front of or above any airbag . Incident Messaging Warning The incident messaging feature is not available in all areas. If you have an active LTE subscription for your device, you are within an LTE network coverage area, and incident messaging is enabled, your device can contact your emergency contacts if an incident is detected. This is a supplemental feature that should not be relied upon as a primary method to obtain emergency assistance. Neither this device nor the Garmin Drive ™ app will contact emergency services on your behalf. Magnet Warning Both the device and its mount may contain magnets. Under certain circumstances, magnets may cause interference with some internal medical devices, including pacemakers and insulin pumps. Devices and mounts that contain magnets should be kept away from such medical devices. CAUTION Failure to heed the following cautions could result in minor or moderate injury, or property damage. LTE Services The LTE connected features on this device are supplemental and should not be relied upon as a primary method to monitor your vehicle. The functionality, reliability, and timeliness of messages and notifications depend on a number of factors that are beyond the control of Garmin ® , including but not limited to cellular connectivity, reception, and device power. NOTICE Failure to heed the following notices could result in personal or property damage, or negatively impact the device functionality.
