Users Manual

C ongratulations on your purchase of this Ungo System. Please read this manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with your system’s components and operation. Discuss any questions you might have with your Ungo dealer. Record the serial number of your Ungo System and keep all dealer records and receipts. Be sure to discuss the installation with the dealer so that you understand the specifics of the installation in your vehicle. CAUTIONS • USE OF THE UNGO MS2007 IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER. • KEEP THE REMOTE TRANSCEIVERS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. • THE UNGO MS2007 IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. • BE SURE THE TRANSMISSION IS IN PARK BEFORE LEAVING THE VEHICLE. • ONLY REMOTE START THE VEHICLE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. The Ungo MS2007 is a state-of-the-art combination vehicle security and remote controlled car starter system. The MS2007 offers security features designed to deter and detect potential intrusions to your vehicle. It will alert and inform the driver and people in the vicinity of your vehicle when a zone is violated. The MS2007 will inform the user of any defective zones while arming, and in the event that the system is triggered, the MS2007 transceiver will even specify which zone was violated. The MS2007 protects both you and the contents of your vehicle with features such as panic mode, dome light illumination, and ignition controlled door locking. In addition to its security features, the MS2007 will safely start your car by remote control, without your key in the ignition. If your vehicle is powered by a diesel engine, the MS2007 will turn on the ignition for several seconds prior to starting the engine, in order for the glow plugs to warm up. Once the MS2007 has started the engine, it will turn on your preset accessories (heater/air conditioner) to provide you with the maximum comfort when you enter your vehicle. After activation, the MS2007 will allow the vehicle to run for approximately 15 minutes (or 30 minutes if selected by your installer at the time of installation) before automatically shutting off. Each Ungo MS2007 System comes with: • Main Unit • One 4-Button LCD Remote Transceiver (Two-way Transmitter and Receiver) • 125dB Siren • Extended Range Antenna •Status LED •2 Stage Electronic Shock Sensor • Emergency Override / Valet Switch Safety Features •Brake Pedal Shutdown- Shuts down the remote start when the brake pedal is pressed. • Hood Pin Switch Protection (optional)- Prevents the engine from being started while the hood is open. • Valet Mode- Prevents the vehicle from remote starting when being serviced. Options and Convenience Features The advanced design of the Ungo system incorporates a number of optional inputs and outputs allowing you to create a customized security / convenience system by easily accommodating many optional convenience and security features such as: About Your Ungo System MS2007 Owner’s Manual - Page 1 • Remote Door Locking • Remote Window Control • Power Trunk / Hatch Release • Glass Breakage Sensor • Radar Sensor • Back-up Battery Remote Transceiver Layout The Ungo MS2007 comes with a multi-function LCD Remote Transceiver featuring two-way communication with the vehicle. Each time a remote button is pressed, the LED will flash and the remote will beep to indicate that a transmission is taking place. If the remote is within two- way communication range, the LCD will display the status of the system. The remote is also equipped with a built-in chime that will play a tune as confirmation of some features such as remote starting, clock setting, etc. Button 1Arms and Disarms the system. This button also activates the system’s Panic feature. Button 2Activates the system’s Remote Start feature. Button 3Activates the system’s Auxiliary Function, commonly used for trunk release.* Button 4Confirms the system’s status. This button also activates the LCD backlight for night time use. LCD Display The MS2007 Remote Transceiver is equipped with an LCD panel that displays the system’s status information. If the remote is within range of the vehicle and a button is pressed, or the vehicle is tampered with, the LCD display will show what action is taking place. The LCD display is backlit for easy viewing at night and will illuminate when Button 4 is pressed, or when confirmation of any action is reported by the vehicle. Setting the Clock The remote transceiver has a built-in clock that displays the current time. To set the clock: 1. Press remote Button 2 and Button 3 simultaneously for two seconds. • The remote will beep twice. • The LCD will show . 2. Press remote Button 2 to set the hour. 3. Press remote Button 3 to set the minutes. Hold Button 3 to advance the minutes rapidly. • The hour will be displayed followed by either an “A” or “P” to indicate AM or PM. Press remoteButton 4 to save the time setting. • The remotewill play a tune to confirm the time is set. System Status Check To check the current status of your system, press Button 4 on the remote for 2 seconds. The LCD will display followed by the current status of the system. The vehicle must be within range for this feature to operate. Disabling the Remote Confirmation Tunes To disable the remote confirmation tunes: 1. Press and hold remote Button 4 until is displayed. • The remote will beep three times. 2. Release Button 4. • The remote will show and . • The remote will provide a beep confirmation when buttons are pressed, but the tunes will be disabled. Battery Replacement Your Ungo Remote Transceiver uses a standard AAA battery, which will need to be replaced from time to time. Under normal conditions, the battery should last for up to three months before it needs replacement. For the purposes of these test the button was held down continuously, normal operation would be a single burst two either lock or unlock a vehicle. 3) BW used for data reported on pages 15-18 was 120kHz. Plots indicate 1MHz because the signal was taken on a HP8568B spectrum Analyzer with an HP 85650A Quasi-Peak Adapter.
