American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 October 21, 2003 RE: Well Communication Corp FCC ID: JCHAWR-8210 I have a few comments on this Application. 1.) The front view of the External Photographs is very fuzzy. Kindly supply a clearer photograph. 2.) No Confidentiality Request letter was uploaded with this Application. This is so unusual that it deserves my double checking to be sure that it is okay for all Exhibits, including Schematics, Block Diagram, Operational Description and Parts List to be viewed at the FCC website. Please confirm. 3.) FYI: For all Unlicensed Part 15 devices it is not necessary to upload the Parts List with the Application. 4.) FYI: The FCC now prefers that for RF category “Mobile” devices, the power density “S” be calculated at 20cm, and not the estimated safe separation “R”. Please review your RF Exposure exhibit. 5.) FYI: The hardcopy plots of band edge emissions on pp. 39 and 40 of the Test Report do not show any RBW or VBW or sweep time information. It is helpful if this information is included on all plots. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Foreword In adopt with the Human Exposure IEEE C95.1, and according to the FCC 1.1310. The Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) is obligated to measure in order to prove the safety of radiation harmfulness to the human body. The Gain of the antenna used is measured in an Anechoic chamber. The maximum total power to the antenna is to be recorded. By adopting the Friis Transmission Formula and the power gain of the antenna, we can find the distance right away from the product, where the limit of the MPE is. 2. Description of EUT EUT : ADSL Wireless Router Classification : Mobile Device (i) Under normal use condition, the antenna is at least 20cm away from the user; (ii) Warning statement for keeping 20cm separation distance and the prohibition of operating next to the person has been printed in the user’s manual Model No. : AWR-8210, AWR-8210B Granted FCC ID : JCHAWR-8210 Frequency Range : 2.412 GHz ~ 2.462GHz Supported Channel: 11 Channel Modulation Skill : DBPSK, DQPSK, DCCK Power Type : By the Power adaptor M/N: MW41-1200800A I/P: 120Vac, 60Hz O/P: 12Vac, 800mA Applicant : Well Communication Corp. 11F, No. 778, Chung Cheng Rd., Chung Ho City, Taipei Hsien, Taiwan, R.O.C.
