The oven controlled crystal oscillator has a 0.5ppm frequency stability over the temperature range of -30 degrees C to 60 degrees C. 2) Description of the audio limiting circuit The audio limiting circuit is implemented in a Digital Signal Processor. The signal input into the audio limiting circuit has a range of [-1,1). The refrence level used through the system is a 1kHz tone with an amplitude of +/- 2^(-6.5) produces a FM modulated carrier with 2.9kHz peak frequency deviation. The audio limiting circuit thus limits the peak signal amplitude to +/- 0.04578. 3) Description of the audio low pass filter The audio low pass filter is implemented in a Digital Signal Processor. The filter is a 25 tap interpolate-by-5 FIR filter with a cut-off frequency of 3kHz. 4) Desciption of the RF spurious filter The RF spurious filtering is performed by two components: the high power cavity tune combiners, and the transmit bandpass filter. The high power cavity tune combiners provide 20-30dB attenuation 300kHz outside the channel. The transmit bandpass filter attenuates spurious emmisions outside the transmit cellular band of 870MHz - 894MHz.

Engineering Statement of Norwood J. Patterson FCC Certification Application FCC ID: JJAGLOBALCELL-IID I, Norwood J. Patterson, am a Radio & TV Engineering Consultant having studied at Pacific Radio School, San Mateo City College, San Francisco City College and Stanford University. I have appeared on numerous occasions before the State Courts, the Federal U. S. Courts the Federal Communications Commission and the U. S. State Hearing Committees. On all occasions I have been accepted as an Expert Witness in radio television and electronics engineering matters. I have been accepted by the Federal Communications Commission as an Expert in radio and television matters since 1937 with a LIFE certificate #PG-11-25313. Background: Com-Dev is a major manufacture of Cellular Base Stations. This application documents that the latest Cellular Base Station model, Globalcell-DII, complies with all FCC requirements. It is compatible with all FCC standards base stations. The present configuration exciters and amplifiers are built by Com-Dev. The measurements performed by REC show complete compliance with all FCC rules and regulations including Audio low pass filters, Audio limiting, and RF Filtering for inbound spurs and harmonics. Combining of the several channels is accomplished by use of standard industry combiners made by Telewave model 804. The RF Filtering for compliance is accomplished by use of the combiners and industry standard band pass filters made by Decibel Products model dB 4200-B, high power, for the frequency range of 879 ~ 894. Measurements by REC show compliance. Equipment photos, schematics, Norwood J. Paterson, also attaches circuit descriptions along with this engineering statement. Conclusion: As determined by design specifications, measurements and certification, it has been determined that the cellular base station model GLOBALCELL-D complies with all FCC certification requirements.
