6 AD1321-10MW ZigBee Module Manual A&D Company,Limited 1, OUTLOOK This model is the general-purpose ZigBee module using the ISM band of the 2.4GHz zone at 10mW. It has an outside antenna terminal. You can control the module by an AT command and send data in a protocol of SPI (CSI) of the serial communication. 2, CAUTION & NOTICE FCC CAUTION z Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. FCC NOTICE z FCC compliance statements are required to be included in the user manual of final system. z This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. z This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna -Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. -Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. z This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. z This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for uncontrolled equipment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65. This equipment has very low levels of RF energy that it is deemed to comply without testing of specific absorption ratio (SAR). z When you use this module in your products, Please specify as follow sentence to your product. KDB 447498D01(V05) has the following exclusion for portable devices: The 1g and 10g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50 mm are determined by: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] ·[√f(GHz)] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where •f(GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz •Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation •The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison The test exclusions are applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50 mm and for transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz. When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is applied to determine SAR test exclusion. This device has f = 2.48 GHz and distance = 5 mm (minimum separation distance: 5mm was used in the calculation) and the maximum tune-up tolerance limit was 1.36mW* * Clause 6.3 Low transmission duty factor devices of KDB447498 D01 v05r01 was applied to this product due to its specification. Maximum tune-up tolerance limit = Conducted Output power (9.36dBm)*Antenna Gain (2.14dBi)*duty cycle correction factor (-10.19dB) So for this device: 1.36mW[maximum tune-up tolerance limit]/5mm[minimum separation distance]*√2.48 = 0.43 *This is less than 3.0 so no SAR is required.
