RF Remote Transmitter Ownerís Manual Model 0668 Lift off the bracket stand, loose the 4 screws with a small screwdriver, insert 2 pcs AAA batteries according to the polarity indicated. Replace the cover and tighten the 4 screws. SETTING UP THE WIRELESS THERMOMETER: !For the first installation, always insert batteries to the home unit and then the remote sensor. Your new RF Thermometer is build with random security code technology, the home unit will learn the random code of the first remote sensor and log in as channel 1. Channel 2 and Channel 3 will be registered in the same way. !The registered channels will be erased when the batteries of the remote sensor or the home unit are removed. !When replacing batteries for the remote sensor, remember to clear the corresponding channel of the home unit in this way: Select the respective channel y pressing the CHANNEL button, hold the CHANNEL button 3 seconds to clear the registration. !When replacing batteries for the home receiver, please remove batteries of all remote sensors and re-install the batteries to the sensors according to the desired channel sequence. !Press the Tx button on the back of remote sensor to verify the RF reception, hold the button 3 sec to reset. !To take temperature of water or extreme temperatures, use the plug-in wire probe. The temperature sensor inside the transmitter will be cut off automatically. C/ F SELECTION At normal mode, press ì C/ F ì button to select C and F. SPECIFICATIONS Range of temperature measurement: Remote sensor :-20C to 60C (-4F to 140F) Transmission: 30M (100 ft.) open area, RF434 MHz Accuracy: +-1.5 C for temp Resolution: 0.1 degree for temperature Battery life: 12 months for remote sensor (alkaline batteries recommended) Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void users authority to operate this device.

Operational Description

FCC ID: L5C0668TX-1 Circuit Description The 434MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q2 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by U1. The output of Q2 has the matching network consisting of L6 and C9 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source There is no external antenna. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 3 Volt (“AA” size battery x 2) primary battery
