Driveway Patrol Congratulation on purchasing the Driveway Patrol. Your set comes with a Chime unit and a PIR sensor which are both battery operated. You can opt to use a DC adaptor for the Chime unit. This Patrol system is simple to install and it requires no wiring. Installing the Batteries After you have set the switches, install the batteries. 1. The chime unit requires three C-size batteries. To install the chime unit's batteries remove the compartment cover and then install the receiver's batteries. Be sure that to observe correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the battery compartment. 2. The PIR sensor requires a 9V battery. To install the push button's battery, unscrew the back cover of the sensor and insert the battery. Be sure that to observe correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the battery compartment. Operation 1. Set the Hi-Lo-Off switch on the side of the Chime unit to Hi or Lo. 2. Place the PIR sensor near the front gate or rear door. Any movement nearby will trigger the chime unit to sound. 3. Please ensure to place the PIR sensor at least 4 feet high to have proper function.
