Regarding Professional Installation: 1) Justify what is special or unique about this system which would require system to be professionally installed. The range extenders, (both base and advanced) will extend the range of a RF900 wireless mesh network, providing longer reach between WPAN endpoints and other WPAN networks. It will provide the necessary Omni or directional antennas and optional backup battery in a ruggedized IP67 outdoor enclosure. It will operate in an ambient temperature range of -40C to +70C. It is intended to operate inside a RF900 mesh network, providing DA control over devices that use Serial (RS232/RS485), USB, or FE (Fast Ethernet) ports for intelligent control. 2) Explain marketing avenues; devices cannot be accessible or marketed to the general public Cisco does not sell these products directly to end users; these devices are sold through distributors or resellers, business to business. The very nature of this product is to provide networking in the utility industry, using 900 MHz radios for mesh networks by the utility industry eliminates the use of this product by the general public. It is intended to operate inside a RF900 mesh network, providing DA control over devices that use Serial (RS232/RS485), USB, or FE (Fast Ethernet) ports for intelligent control. It will complement the CGR1000 series of routers, primarily in the electrical grid by providing a low cost, low power, small size DA solution. It will be ruggedized with an IP41 enclosure (for installations inside outdoor cabinets) and will operate in an ambient temperature range of -40C to +70C. 3) Installation must be controlled; detailed installation instructions are to be provided. Refer to users/installation manual Submitted by Chuck Troia, November 17, 2014 via email communication with CKC CS.

Adv PS Single antenna To Whom It May Concern, We declare that IR529UBWP-915D/K9 and IR529UBWP-915S/K9 are similar products using a common power supply, a common mother board and a common radio transceiver board. The differences in these models are features to support battery backup options. In addition, there is a factory installed option to utilize an internal RF splitter that is connected to a common radio transceiver. The splitter, when employed allows connection to two antenna options that are used for directional beam forming only and not for increasing antenna gain by means of beam forming; the antenna patterns are not intended to be placed in a way that allows over lapped patterns. This product is meant to be installed outdoors. In addition, the IR509UWP-915/K9 uses the same power supply, motherboard and the same common radio transceiver. For this product, it is intended that installation is within cabinets or enclosures, typically on a DIN RAIL mounting. In all cases, these products require professional installation.
