Pmax = 17 + 10log(19) = 29.8 dBm Test Procedure Transmitter was placed in continuous transmit test mode. Transmitter is ON for 180 usec with a 3 usec reset OFF time. Duty cycle correction is 20 log(180/183) = -.14 dB, For reporting purposes, duty cycle correction is considered zero. Sweep time < T (transmit time) because transmitter is transmitting in continuous mode: Method 1 from Public Notice DA-02 –2138: • Set span to encompass the entire emission bandwidth (EBW) of the signal. • Set RBW = 1 MHz. • Set VBW ≥ 3 MHz. • Use sample detector mode if bin width (i.e., span/number of points in spectrum display) < 0.5 RBW. Otherwise use peak detector mode • Use a video trigger with the trigger level set to enable triggering only on full power pulses.
