FCC ID: LU9248859 Circuit Description The 49MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q2 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by IC1. The output of Q2 has the matching network consisting of L1 and C3 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source The antenna consists of a 28cm long metal wire. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 9 Volt (β6F22β size battery x 1) primary battery

(2) Distance between the EUT and measuring antenna: 3 meters. (3) Measuring instrumentation: CISPR Quasi-peak type field strength meter (25 MHz - 1000 MHz.). 6 dB bandwidth set at 120 KHz. Also, peak level of the fundamental emissions was measured in order to determine compliance with the 20dB peak to average limit specified in Section 15.35(b) of the FCC new Rules. (4) Measuring antenna: Broad band antenna for the frequency range 25-1000 MHz, connected with 10 meters coaxial cable. Cable loss of the coaxial cable. included in the Antenna Factor for measurement data. The antenna are capable of measuring both horizontal and vertical polarizations. (5) Frequency range scanned: The frequency range from 25 MHz to 1000 MHz had been searched. Readings of the highest emissions relating to the limit were reported as above. (6) Arrangement of EUT: During the test, the sample was operated at rated supply voltage and arranged for maximum emissions. (7) Measuring Procedure: In accordance with the relevant clauses of the FCC Rules Part 15 section 15.109(a) and ANSI C63.4:1992 section 12.1.1.1-2. For superregenerative receivers, an independent signal generator had been used to radiated an unmodulated were (cw) signal to the receiver at its operating frequency in order to βcohereβ or resolve the individual components of the characteristic broadband emission from such a receiver. The level of such signal may need to be adjusted in order to accomplish this. (8) Measuring Uncertainty: The calculated uncertainty for measurement performed at 3M test distance are:- 30MHz to 300MHz = Β± 3.7dB, 300MHz to 1000MHz = + 3.0dB/-2.7dB. Remark: Purpose of this test is to provide the Applicant with the necessary test data of their device for the submission to FCC with application for Equipment Authorization under FCC Equipment Authorization Program. This test itself is not an Approval Test. Date: 2001-03-19 TEST REPORT Page 5 of 8 No.: HM104169 (A) Measureβ¦

Chris Harvey From:Alice Wong [[email protected]] Sent:Wednesday, April 18, 2001 2:27 AM To:[email protected] Cc:EED - Choy, Kitty Subject:MET#10809 FCC ID: LU9248859 MGA Entertainment (HK) Ltd. Dear Chris, Good Afternoon MET #10809 FCC ID: LU9248859 MGA Entertainment (HK) Ltd. 1) Test Method: The sample was placed 0.8m above the groundplane. Measurements in both horizontal and vertical polarities were performed. During the test, each emission was maximized by: having the EUT continuously working, investigate all operating mode, rotated about all 3 axis (X, Y & Z) to obtain worse position, and manipulating interconnecting cable, rotating turntable and varying antenna height from 1m to 4m in both horizontal and vertical polarizations and the worst- case emissions are shown in test result. 2) The antenna consists of a 28cm long telescoping chrome over brass tubing. It is fixed on the EUT, and can't replace by user. 3) The EUT is a one pair, but they are used different frequency (49.4 and 49.83MHz), therefore they are transmit and receive at the same time. However, it have one channel only for each one. If have any question, please let me know. Thanks. Best Regards Alice Best Regards Alice
