These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, this is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS IMPORTANT NOTICE Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void user's authority to operate this device. SAFETY BATTERY PRECAUTIONS Please keep this manual. It contains important information. OPERATION TIPS AND HELPFUL HINTS - Do not operate during thunderstorms. - Operate only in fresh water and bodies of water with little to no current. - When your vehicle starts to lose power, it may experience loss of functions of performance ability. If this happens, simply recharge your Battery Pack again and/or replace the Handset battery. - Your Land-Sea R/C is operated by radio waves. It is possible the unit may not perform properly due to interference from nearby devices such as a cordless phone, hair dryer, radio, walkie-talkie or other radio-controlled toys. - Avoid sand and snow when operating your vehicle. - Always select a safe place to play. Never drive your vehicle on populated streets or water areas. - Keep fingers. hair and loose clothing away from the tires, wheel hubs and motors while the vehicle is switched on. - Land-Sea R/C may take in water. After playing with Land-Sea R/C in water, locate the drainage valves at the rear of the vehicle and remove the two rubber seals. Drain any water from the vehicle and replace the rubber seals. (see Fig.12) - Clean your Land-Sea R/C with a dry, clean cloth after playing. - If the vehicle goes out of range of the Handset or the battery is low, the propellers will turn on. This is a part of Land-Sea R/C's normal operation. This function is especially useful in water. If the vehicle is in water and goes out of range, the vehicle will move in a circular pattern in an attempt to return back to the Handset range so that the user can once again gain control. - If you turn off the Handset before turning off the vehicle, Land-Sea R/C's propellers will turn on. This is a part of Land-Sea R/C's normal operation and will remind you to turn off the vehicle. - Do not get your rechargeable battery wet. If you do, dry immediately. - Your R/C Handset will automatically shut off after several minutes of non-activity. Simply press the MODE button (and activate Land or Sea Mode) to begin again. FCC ID: LU9256571A Circuit Description The 49.86MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q2 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by U1. The output of Q2 has the matching network consisting of L4 and C10 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source The antenna consists of a 18cm long telescoping chrome over brass tubing. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 9 Volt (“6F22” size battery x 1) primary battery
