CONTENTS Before you rush to put out any fires, make sure your package contains: • 1 - Spider-Man® and Friends™ Fire Emergency Vehicle with extendable ladder. • 1 - Remote Control Transmitter [HK please add illustration of contents] BEFORE YOU BEGIN To power up your Spider-Man® and Friends™ Fire Emergency Vehicle you will need to install the following: • Two (2) AA batteries (not included) in the remote control transmitter. • Three (3) AA batteries (not included) in the vehicle. INSTALLING BATTERIES In the Remote Control Transmitter: 1. Use a Philips screwdriver (not included) to remove the battery door screw and battery door. [HK please add illustrations of Remote Control battery door and battery installation] 2. Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) in the battery compartment with the positive (+) and negative (-) ends facing to the proper direction as indicated inside the compartment. 3. Replace the battery door and tighten the screw In the Spider-Man® and Friends™ Fire Emergency Vehicle: 4. Slide the vehicle ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. 5. Turn the unit over and, using a Philip’s screwdriver (not included) remove the battery door screw and battery door. [HK please add illustrations of Vehicle battery door and battery installation] 6. Insert three (3) AA batteries (not included) in the battery compartment with the positive (+) and negative (-) ends facing the proper direction as indicated inside the compartment. 7. Replace the battery door and tighten the screw. SAFETY BATTERY USAGE • Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life. • Use only the type battery recommended for the unit. • Batteries should be replaced only by an adult. • Insert batteries with the correct polarity ( + and – ). • Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries. • Do not short-circuit batteries. • When not in use for an extended time, remove batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit. • Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. • Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision. • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging. • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. • Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may leak or explode. QUICK START 1. Slide the vehicle ON/OFF switch to the ON position. 2. Use the remote control transmitter to drive your vehicle. a. Press the front of the control pad to go forward. b. Press the back of the control pad to go backward and turn. [HK please add illustration of Forward and Reverse/Turn pads ] 3. The emergency lights will light only when the vehicle is moving. 4. Stop the vehicle to manually extend and turn the fire ladder. 5. After you’ve practiced driving the vehicle for awhile, invite your friends and show them what your Spider-Man® and Friends™ Fire Emergency Vehicle can do! HELPFUL HINTS • Since your vehicle is controlled by radio frequency, it may interfere with other radio controlled devices. If this occurs, move the vehicle to another location away from the interference. • The vehicle must remain in remote control range to operate correctly. The range depends on the surrounding area and on the strength of the battery. Obstructions such as buildings, fences, etc., between the remote control transmitter and the vehicle, reduce the range. • If the vehicle runs slowly, replace the batteries. • KEEP AWAY FROM WATER! Do not run your vehicle through puddles, or expose to liquid of any kind as moisture may damage the unit. CAUTION • MODIFICATIONS NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE MANUFACTURER MAY VOID THE USER’S AUTHORITY TO OPERATE THIS DEVICE. • EMISSIONS OR INTERFERENCE OF SURROUNDING ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MAY AFFECT OPERATING PERFORMANCE. FCC COMPLIANCE This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void user’s authority to operate this device. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subjected to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Application No.: hm155363 Date: 1 November 2005 FCC ID: LU9324218 Circuit Description The 49.86 MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q2 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by IC. The output of Q2 has the matching network consisting of L3 and C14 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source There is no external antenna. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 3 Volt (“AA” size battery x 2) primary battery. Operation Descriptions The transmitter is a toy car operating at 49.86MHz band. The transmitter is powered by a 3Volt battery (AA x 2) and the transmitting frequency is crystal controlled. There are 2 button to control the forward reverse motor and director of movement. The operation is achieved by different combinations of form pulse modulating signal on the 49.86MHz carrier frequency. Remarks: The transmitter is a 2 Button transmitter. The EUT continues to transmit while Button is being pressed. It is Pulse transmitter, Modulation byIC; and type is Pulse modulation.
