Please use designated collection points or recycling facilities when disposing of the item. Do not treat old batteries as household waste. Take them to a designated recycling facility. Age 4+ years ADULT BATTERY INSTALLATION REQUIRED521174 (27 MHz) / 521181 (49MHz) Please keep this manual as it contains important information. Illustrations are for reference only. Styles may vary from actual contents. • Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life. • Use only the type battery recommended for the unit. • Batteries should be replaced only by an adult. • Insert batteries with the correct polarity ( + and – ). • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable(nickel-cadmium) batteries. • Do not short-circuit batteries. • When not used for an extended time, remove batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit. • Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging. • Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision. • Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. • Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. • Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may leak or explode. Press the switch on the rear deck of the Boat (behind the seat) to turn it ON. (Press again to turn it OFF.) 2. Slide the ON/OFF switch on the back of the Remote Control to the “ON” position. 3. Place the Boat on a flat, level surface. 4. Use the Remote Control to drive your Boat by doing the following: a. Press down on the left side of the Remote Control to go forward. (Fig. 5) b. Press down the right side of the Remote Control to back up and turn to the left. (Fig. 6) 1. Press the switch on the rear deck of the Boat (behind the seat) to turn it OFF. 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included), remove the screw and battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the Boat. (Fig. 1) 3. Install three (3) AAA alkaline batteries (not included) making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment. 4. Replace the compartment cover and tighten the screw. • When driving two RC Boats, they must be of different radio frequencies (e.g. one Boat 49MHz and one Boat 27MHz) or they may not perform as designed. • When Boat is not being played with, press the button on the back of the Boat to turn it OFF and slide the switch on the Remote to “OFF” to save battery power. • Your Boat is controlled by radio frequency. It may interfere with nearby devices such as cordless phones, radios, walkie-talkies, or other radio controlled devices. If this occurs, move the Boat to a location away from the interference. • The Boat must remain in remote control range to operate correctly. Operational Description

Model: 521174 (Transmitter portion) Technical Description of Transmitter The transmitter operates at 27.145 MHz, and controls the corresponding receiver to move forward and turn left backward. The circuit of the transmitter comprises of, 1. An Encoding circuit Consisting: S1, S2, U1 2. A RF Oscillator (27.145MHz) Consisting: Y1 3. A Filter Network Consisting: C9, C16, T1, L3, C12 4. A RF Modulator and Amplifier Consisting: Q1, Q2 5. A Power Supply Consisting: 2 x AAA size batteries The antenna used: The transmitter uses an external, integral and non-detachable antenna.
