Suggest wordings may be " IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with the FCC RF exposure compliance requirements,no change to the antenna or the device is permitted. Any change to the antenna or the device could result in the device exceeding the RF exposure requirements and void user's authority to operate this device." ANS.: Attached please find the addtional information for RF safety, this will will place in the user's manual. Question #2: Please justify the Emission designator 118KF3E by using Carson Rules(2M+2DK). ANS.: Sorry for our omissions, the Emission Designator is 2M+2D= 2*(20kHz) + 2*(40 KHz) =120 kHz. So, it should be 120kF3E. Question #3: The operating frequency range has different number throught out the test report. In accordance with Tune-Up procedure, it listed 604-806MHz, Page 1, section 1.1 listed as 604- 806MHz but section 1.2 listed as 614-806MHz. Operating Description listed as 614-806MHz. Please confirm the operating frequency and make necessary correction on related documents. ANS.: Sorry for our omission. Attached please find corrected page. If you have any further questions, please kindly infrom me. Regards, K. C. Chen ETC/EMC Deaprtment II ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Kuo" <[email protected]> To: "K. C. The EUT is a frequency modulation Wireless M icrop hone with following feat ures : Op eration Frequency Range: 614M Hz to 806M Hz. Ty p e of emission is 118KF3E for headset. 1. To adjust GT/M T Switch, and Gain Control, Simp ly p ush down both snap locks on the sides of battery cover and flip it backwards to exp ose the adjustment p anel. 2. Before p ower on, ascertain if same channel was set up for both receiver and micrphone. If not adjust to same channel accordingly . 3. The LED ind icator flashes briefly when p ower on ind icatin g nor mal battery status. If not flash occurs it has either no battery , the battery is drained or inst alled incorrect ly . Change accordingly . 4. Plug the microp hone connector into the inp ut jack and tighten the connector screw by clockwise direction.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (1) Type or types of emiss ion. ---- 120KF3E. DUT input โ34dBv because the input limiting level at โ54dBv@20KHz (2) Frequency ---------- 614MHz~806MHz. (3) Range of operation power values: DUT has no power controls. (4) Maximum power rating -------- <30 MilliWatts ERP. (5) DC Voltages and current into Final Amplifier: FINAL AMPLIFIER ONLY 3.0V BATTERY Vce=4.6Volts Ice=10mA. (6) Tune-up procedure: The ANT test point connect to the RF power meter then tune VC1 and VC2 to made up RF output power and suppress the harmonics. (7) Description of any circuits or device employed for suppression of spurious radiation, for limiting modulation, and for limiting power. There are no devices or circuitry to limit the power, since this is a lower power device. The interstage coupling between Q1, U5, Q3, Q4 and Q5 as well as the low pass filter made up of VC1, C115, L9, L10, C40, L11, & C41 suppress the harmonics. Limiting Modulation: The transmitter audio circuitry is contained in U10. The coupling between U10, U12, U1, U13 and feedback to U15 and U16. The modulation limiting is also provided by U16. Limiting Power: There is no provision for limiting power. Description of all circuitry and devices provided for determining and stabilizing frequency. The transmitter frequency is control by a crystal, the crystal specifications are included in next page.
