Operational Description

Circuit Description for Playmobil 27MHz Transmitter FCC ID: N2T3670 Q1 and Q2 form a multivibrator that is actuated by SW1. Q3 and Q4 are pulse modifying circuits that are activated by SW2. Q5 is the crystal oscillator circuit which is transformer coupled to Q6 which is an RF amplifier and AM modulator for the pulses formed by Q1 thru Q4. L3 and C21,C22 C23 C24 and L4 form the antenna matching and harmonic suppression components Q7 and Q8 are the amplification and impedance matching parts for the modulation pulses. SW3 is the power on switch. Energy is supplied by 12VDC. Zener diode ZD1 is used reduced this to 5.6 V which is used by Q1 thru Q5. The antenna is a fixed unremovable type. No external ground connection is available only that of the interior pcb traces.

RADIATION INTERFERENCE: The test procedure used was ANSI STANDARD C63.4-1992 using a HEWLETT PACKARD spectrum analyzer with a prese- lector. The bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was 100 kHz with an appropriate sweep speed. The analyzer was calibrated in dB above a microvolt at the output of the antenna. METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: A small sample of the transmitter output was fed into the spectrum analyzer and the attached plot was taken. The vertical scale is set to -10 dBm per division.
