If these types of wireless hubs and routers can be operated through direct or short cable connections to a laptop or netbook computer, portable exposure conditions should generally be considered. When SAR evaluation is required to demonstrate compliance, the device should be tested on all sides with a device to phantom separation distance not larger than 5 mm to address RF exposure concerns in various operating conditions and configurations expected by users. Larger test separation distances are generally inappropriate for addressing RF exposure concerns for these types of devices. While acceptable manual instructions are necessary; however, such instructions do not substitute for appropriate testing to demonstrate compliance for consumer wireless devices. The mobile classification applies when 20 cm or greater separation distance is maintained between the end user and all transmission antennas. The users documentation available to consumers indicates that the modem must not be used closer than 20 cm to head or body. This product contains an 802.11 b/g transceiver and PCS/Cell transceiver.
