Operational Description

FCC ID: NLHRT3310 Circuit Description The 315MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q1 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by IC (U2 KS57P2304). The output of Q1 has the matching network consisting of L5 and C26 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source The antenna consists of a 8cm long metal antenna. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 3 Volt “LIR2450” Rechargeable primary battery

Measurements in both horizontal and vertical polarities were performed. During the test, each emission was maximized by: having the EUT continuously working, investigate all operating modes, rotated about all 3 axis (X, Y & Z) to obtain worst position, manipulating interconnecting cables, rotating turntable, varying antenna height from 1m to 4m in both horizontal and vertical polarization. The emissions worst-case are shown in Test Results of the following pages. *:OATS [Open Area Test Site] located at HKSTC with a metal ground plane on filed with the FCC pursuant to section 2.948 of the FCC rules, with Registration Number: 90657. Test Report

1 Marianne Bosley To: [email protected] Subject: Metrak #12790 Crystal Field FCC ID: NLHRT3310 Hi Alice, The technical review has been completed and below is a question for your attention: 1. The limits to which the AC Line conducted measurements were compared are no longer the current limits listed in Section 15.207. This Rule has been amended to bring it into alignment with the CISPR 22 limits. As a result, the lower frequency range for testing is now 150 kHz, and no longer 450 kHz. Pursuant to Section 15.37(j), if the EUT is approved with the current test data, new data demonstrating compliance with the new limits, over the new frequency range, must be submitted by July 10, 2005, or the grant will no longer be valid. A Note Code will be placed on the grant to this effect. Alternatively, a new test, over the required frequency range, may be performed now, with data submitted, so that the grant will remain valid indefinitely, and no such condition will appear on the grant. Please indicate the choice of the applicant in this matter. Thanks. Regards, Marianne Marianne T. Bosley EMC Administrator 410-354-3300 X 412 [email protected]
