Visteon Confidential Navigation display module with BT connectivity Model Name: JDCP (J1D, J1C1, P4D, D2K/D3K, D2G2/D3G) LABEL’s limitations 20-April-2021 2 Introduction There are significant difficulties to incorporate an external certification label due to: 1.Limitations for the dimensions –small device 2.Lack of surfaces to incorporate a label 3.Esthetic and trade limitations 3 Limitations of the device SMALL device Dimensions : ~ 7 cm x 5 cm Weight:~ 0,070 kg 4 Limitations of the device Lack of surfaces to incorporate a label 5 Limitations of the device –QR code 1.There are no options to include the labels and additional information in the QR code – Current QR code content and dimensions - -Visteon part number, Customer part number -SW version, HW version and the Production date. -dimensions -10 mm x 10 mm If we include content model: JDCPthe size will increase by 15 mm x15 mm, so that the label can not be fixed between the connectors. 6 Limitations of the device –Traceability label The traceability label can be extended onlywith model: JDCPcontent. We need to keep some buffer for the manufacturing purposes (related to the nearby convex surfaces). 7 Limitations of the device Esthetic and trade limitations -OEM will not accept the labels on the external surface -Final product (motorcycle) will be uncompetitive 8 Visteon approach Visteon would like to use an option to include certification labels and model name in the User manual, using the exemptions in the legislation for: -Small device installed in the vehicle -Impracticable to incorporate the label With the suggested option Visteon will follow the approach: -Model name JDCP will be included on the label as is shown. -All certification labels and warnings will be included on the User manual and can be effectively visible for the final user. -Spare parts will be marked on the packaging.

FCC Part 15 subpart B, ICES 003 and CISPR 22 contain different definitions of Class A and Class B limits, i.e. which class is applicable to which kind of EUT. ICES 003 and CISPR 22 distinguish between the location where the EUT is intended to operate whilst FCC refers to the method of commercial distribution (distributive trades). 2. The correct assignment of the appropriate class to the concrete EUT is not scope of this test report! 3. A radio apparatus that is specifically subject to an Industry Canada Radio Standard Specification (RSS) and which contains an ITE is not subject to ICES-003 provided the ITE is used only to enable operation of the radio apparatus and the ITE does not control additional functions or capabilities. 4. ISM (Industrial, Scientific or Medical) radio frequency generators, though they may contain ITE, are excluded from the definition of ITE and are not subject to ICES-003. They are instead subject to the Interference-Causing Equipment Standard ICES-001, which specifically addresses ISM radio frequency generators.
