Users Manual

R F S p e a k e r S y s t e m Instruction manual (raw version) The model 3331 UHF Cordless TV/Hi-Fi Speaker System incorporates the latest RF technology to provide you with the ultimate in personal listening freedom as well as fine detailed sound. With this system you can listen to TV, VCR, Hi-Fi or CD at your own optimum volume level without trailing cables. The volume level can be individually adjusted for your left and right speaker. The system also features the latest ergonomic styling to match your existing audio/ visual equipment. The system provides full audio frequency response and low distortion. RF Speaker System includes: • Speaker x 2 • Transmitter, 2channels x 1 • Audio Cord 3,5 mm to 2-RCA x 1 • Adaptor 3,5 mm to 6,3 mm x 1 • 12V Adaptor (for speaker) x 2 • 9V Adaptor (for transmitter) x 1 • Manual x 1 Transmitter : Channel Select button 9V DC INPUT 3.5mm audio Input RCA L+R audio Input Antenna Channel position indicator Speaker receiver: Warning Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Ensure that the ventilation is not impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on the apparatus. Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates). Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus. The location of the marking are situated on the base at the bottom of the apparatus The mains plug or the appliance coupler shall always remain readily operable. Take attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Caution! Do only use the attached power supply! Never use another type/model! Transmitter Set Up/Operation 1. Plug the transmitter AC/DC power adaptor into an AC outlet and connect the adaptor’s power output plug to the back of the transmitter marked DC 9 V. 2.Connect the audio connection cable to the AUDIO IN socket with the other end of the cord connected to your audio source (e.g. stereo system, TV system etc.). You can use the provided 3,5 - 6,3 mm plug adaptor or 2-RCA phono-plug adaptor to suit the connection of your audio source. 3. The transmitter will automatically power up when there is an audio signal received from your audio source. The red LED light will illuminate to indicate the transmitter is powered ON. 4. Set the “CHANNEL” button to select the transmission channel as displayed by the channel indicator. 5. Ensure the antenna is extended to complete vertical to provide maximum coverage. - Digital volume control (down / up) - On/Off button - Channel select button - Bass booster - LED mood light On/off Remark : Push the Power On/Off button for 2 seconds for power off the speaker. Remark - Unit operated by the 12V AC/DC - 500mA adapter only - Please very cautious when connecting or taking out the DC jack - It can be operated by 8 x AA batteris Speaker Set Up/Operation 1. Use the provided 12V AC/DC adaptor to power each speaker. Plug the speaker AC/DC power adapter to an AC outlet and connect the adapter’s power output plug to the back of the speaker marked DC 12 V. (Remark: The mass production version can be powered by 8 x AA batteries) 2. There is no ON/Off button and adjust the Volume Control on the engineering sample. It has a little hissing noise. 3. Since it has equipped with Auto tune function, you just need to change the channel switch on the transmitter for optimum signal. GB PROBLEM SHOOTING Problem: Cannot connect transmitter to TV because TV has no headphone jack or audio output jack. Solution: If your TV has no audio output jacks then it is probably not a stereo TV. In this case, connect the transmitter to the VCR (if you have a VCR connected to your TV). Problem: Poor sound quality (Distortion). Solution: 1. Distance between speaker and transmitter may be out of optimum range or transmission may be affected by interference. Select another channel on the transmitter & press the auto tune button on the speaker. 2. Battery power is insufficient. Replace the batteries. Problem: No sound or no signal at the speaker. Transmitter is not on. Solution: Transmitter has no power (power adapter not plugged into AC outlet and/or not connected to the transmitter) or the audio source has stopped sending audio signal to the transmitter. Audio source is not on or transmitter’s audio cord is not connected to an audio source, or audio source volume (or amplification) is too low to generate a signal. Speaker is not turned on or its volume is set too low. FCC statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. The user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. To assure continued compliance, any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. (Example- use only shielded interface cables when connecting to computer or peripheral devices). FCC Radiation Exposure Statement Th…

1.1. Test Result of RF Exposure Evaluation . Product: Wireless Outdoor Speaker . Test Item: RF Exposure Evaluation Data Test site: OATSI-SD Test Mode: Normal Operation 1.1.1. Antenna Gain The maximum Gain is 5.06dBi. 1.1.2. EUT Operation condition Software provided by client enabled the EUT to transmit and receive data at lowest, middle and highest channel individually. 1.1.3. Output Power into Antenna & RF Exposure Evaluation Distance Modulation Standard: FM Test Date: Nov. 12, 2007 Temperature: 26 °C Humidity: 56 % Channel Channel Frequency (MHz) Output Power to Antenna (dBm) Power Density (S) (mW/cm 2 ) 01 912 -2.94 0.000324 02 913 -3.19 0.000306 The MPE is calculated as 0.000324 mW / cm 2 < limit 1 mW / cm 2 . So, RF exposure limit warning or SAR test are not required. For 912~913 MHz, the EUT will only be used with a separation of 20cm or greater between the antenna and nearby persons and can therefore be considered a mobile transmitter per 47CFR2.1091 (b).
