FCC ID: 0CZRC-03 IC: 8431A-RC03 This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: – Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. – Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. – Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. – Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. For RF Safety and per FCC and Industry Canada regulations, the product should never be installed within 8-inches (20cm) of typical people locations. ISONAS HQ 4720 Walnut St, Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80301 800-581-0083 www.isonas.com • Provide a statement for how your device Complies with FCC15.203 Antenna requirement: An intentional radiator shall be designed to ensure that no antenna other than that furnished by the responsible party shall be used with the device. The use of a permanently attached antenna or of an antenna that uses a unique coupling to the intentional radiator shall be considered sufficient to comply with the provisions of this section. The manufacturer may design the unit so that a broken antenna can be replaced by the user, but the use of a standard antenna jack or electrical connector is prohibited. This requirement does not apply to carrier current devices or to devices operated under the provisions of §§15.211, 15.213, 15.217, 15.219, or 15.221. Further, this requirement does not apply to intentional radiators that must be professionally installed, such as perimeter protection systems and some field disturbance sensors, or to other intentional radiators which, in accordance with §15.31(d), must be measured at the installation site. However, the installer shall be responsible for ensuring that the proper antenna is employed so that the limits in this part are not exceeded. Model: RC-03: The antenna is an internal antenna directly attached to the pc board and is not accessible to the user. Furthermore, the product requires professional installation.

ISONAS HQ 4720 Walnut St., Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80301 800-581-0083 www.isonas.com RC-03M product Label Location 12/4/2012 MJM The ability to add more information on the reader is simply not possible due to the fact that the label as it exists does not have room for more text as these can be installed in dark areas requiring larger print for the installer. Further, an additional label is not an option due to the fact that there is no room for another label. On one end we have only mounting screw access and on the other we have mounting screw access plus the tamper detection window which cannot be covered up. Note: Label shown is for the RC-03 LF product as an example of label location on product only On the left side the distance from the existing label to the left edge of the controller is 0.6” which includes the mounting hole. On the right side the distance from the right side of the tamper window edge to the right side of the controller is 1” which also includes the mounting hole. The largest open spot is between the tamper window right edge to the mounting hole which is 0.5”. I see no way to get another label applied.
RF Exposure Project #: G100781715 Test Area: Intertek Louisville Test Method: FCC CFR47 Part 1.1310 Test Date: 11/06/2012 EUT Model #: RC-03-MCT-K EUT Serial #: FCC1 Manufacturer: Isonas Security Systems EUT Description: The product tested is multi-frequency, network-enabled, RFID Security Access Reader with keypad. The product transmits at 122.8kHz or 13.56MHz. Notes: The following limit is from table 1 (B) Limits for General Population/Uncontrolled Exposure in FCC part 1.1310: 1 mW/cm² The following calculation was used to determine compliance to the above limit. The calculation is from FCC OET bulletin 65. S=PG/4πR² Where: S=power density (in appropriate units, e.g. mW/cm²) P=power input to the antenna. G=power gain of the antenna in the direction of interest relative to an isotropic radiator. R=distance to the center of radiation of the antenna (appropriate unit, e.g., cm) In this case 20cm will be used. Tx 122.8kHz: Maximum radiated field strength = 86.13dBuV/m at 3-meters = 0.123mW Tx 13.56MHz: Maximum radiated field strength = 66.05dBuV/m at 3-meters = 0.0012mW (see test report 100781715DEN-001) Maximum gain declared by the manufacture – unknown, < 6dBi Power Density Power (mW) Gain (dbi) Gain numeric Distance (cm) Power Density (mW/cm²) 0.123 0 1.0 20 0.0245 0.123 6 4.0 20 0.0974 0.0012 0 1.0 20 0.00024 0.0012 6 4.0 20 0.00095 Note: Worst-case antenna gain of 6dBi used in following calculations: Tx 122.8kHz Delta Limit: 0.0974 mW/cm² - 1.0mW/cm² = -0.9026 mW/cm 2 Tx 13.56MHz Delta Limit: 0.00095 mW/cm² - 1.0mW/cm² = -0.9991 mW/cm 2 Results: The unit complies with the requirements for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) under FCC part 1.1310.
