You cannot lock the doors with the TRANSMITTERif the key is in the key cylinder. UNLOCK When you press the UNLOCK button, to begin with, the driver’s door Will unlock. Secondly, if you press it once more continuing the state that driver’s door is UNLOCK, all the doors will unlock. You cannot unlock the doors with the TRANSMITTER if key is in the key cylinder. If the doors are not opened within 30 seconds after you unlock the door with the TRANSMITTER, all the doors will be automatically relocked. BOOT RELEASE When you press the TRUNK button twice, the boots will open. The boot will not open if the key is in the key cylinder. PANIC ALARM When you press the PANIC button, the vehicle starts sounding the horn and flashing the head light intermittently. These functions continue for 175 seconds unless any of the buttons on the TRANSMITTER are pressed. CAUTION The remote control switch (TRANSMITTER) is a precision electronic device. Therefore please pay attention to the following: Do not impose shock to the TRANSMITTER. Keep the TRANSMITTER dry. Do not disassemble the TRANSMITTER. When the TRANSMITTER is opened, avoid getting water and dust, etc inside it. In addition, do not touch the precision electronic parts. 5/30 2.2 User’s manual of the Immobilizer System for Vehicle When the ignition is turned on, the oscillator in the Immobilizer unit drives the antenna coil to produce a 125 kHz electromagnetic field which activates the transponder. The transponder and the Immobilizer exchange data by modulating the electromagnetic field. An encrypted protocol is used to ensure that the exchange of data is secured. The identity code of the transponder, which is unique for each ignition key, is transmitted to the Immobilizer unit and forwarded to the Engine ECU using CAN communication link. If the transponder identity is recognized the engine is allowed to start, otherwise the engine will not start. CAUTION When ignition is turned on, do not bring metal close to transponder. 6/30 two

Type of Equipment : Immobilizer System /Receiver of Keyless Entry System Model No. : G8C-505M Serial No. : 1 Rating : DC12.0V Country of Manufacture : Japan Receipt Date of Sample : October 1, 2004 Condition of EUT : Production prototype (Not for Sale: This sample is equivalent to mass-produced items.) 2.2 Product Description Model No: G8C-505M is the Immobilizer System/ Receiver of Keyless Entry System *This EUT has the Immobilizer System and Receiver of Keyless Entry System inside of the enclosure. As for the each test report, the part of Immobilizer System is in Report No. 25AE0093-HO-1, and the part of the Receiver of Keyless Entry System is in report No. 25AE0094-HO-3. Variant model:G8C-513M The difference between Models, G8C-505M and G8C-513M is as follows: - G8C-505M has the control function of rear wiper. - G8C-513M does not have the control function of rear wiper. As the radio characteristics of the above two models are same, G8C-505M has been tested as a representative model , because it is considered as superior model. Equipment Type : Super Heterodyne Operating Frequency : 313.85MHz Intermediate Frequency : 10.7MHz CPU : 8MHz Antenna Type : Inverted F antenna Antenna connector Type : No connector Method of Frequency Generation : Crystal Power Supply (inner) : DC5.0V at Battery DC12.0V FCC 15.31 (e) The power supply of this EUT is transformed to DC5.0V and provides stable voltage (DC5.0V) constantly to Radio part. Therefore, this EUT complies with the requirement. FCC Part 15.111 (b) It is impossible for end users to replace the antenna, because the antenna is mounted inside of the EUT.
