To l o c k Press the LOCK switch, and all doors and tailgate will be locked. To unlock Press the UNLOCK switch, and all doors and tailgate will be unlocked. โณ NOTE The indicator lamp comes on each time a switch is pressed. If the UNLOCK switch is pressed and any of the doors or the tailgate is not opened within approximately 30 seconds, relocking will automatically occur. The keyless entry system does not operate in the following conditions: ๏ท The key is left in the key cylinder. ๏ท The doors or tailgate is open. The remote control switch will operate within about few meters from the vehicle. However, the operating range of the remote control switch may change if the vehicle is located near a power station, or radio/TV broadcasting station. If either of the following problems occurs, the battery may be exhausted. ๏ท The remote control switch is operated at the correct distance from the vehicle, but the doors and the tailgate are not locked/unlocked in responce. ๏ท The indicator lamp is dim or does not come on. For further information, please consult your service point. UNLOCK switch LOCK switch indicator lamp 6/22 Immobilizer System The immobilizer system is designed to reduce significantly the possibility of vehicle theft. The purpose of the system is to immobilize the vehicle if an invalid start attempt. A valid start attempt can only be archeived by using a key โregisterdโ to the immobilizer system. โณ NOTE In the following cases, the vehicle may not be able to receive the registerd ID code from the registered key and the motor may not start . ๏ท When the key contacts or is close to other metallic or magnetic object. ๏ท When the key grip contact metal of another key. ๏ท When the key contacts or is close to other immobilizing keys( including keys of other vehicles). In cases like these, remove the object or additional key from the vehicle key and turn the key back to โACCโ or โLOCKโ position. Then try again to start the motor. โณ CAUTION Donโt make any alternations or additions to the remote control switch and immobilizer system; alternations or additions could cause failure of their. 7/22 FCC WARNING Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the userโ authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
